  1. Nice, makes the game much more playable.

For those who dislike the 3d text, just delete FA0AEF1B.txt

  2. Awesome, thanks for the work. Looks great!
Sidenote its kinda freaky how you can overdo/abuse the convergence to the point that you can see through walls.

    1. LOL.
Didnt know that. I barely had time to play it and only got in like first 20 mins. It looks beautiful in 3d though. Hopefully I will know what I am doing a bit more to fix shadows on it one day. When I first heard of the occulus rift, this was first title that I imagined playing. I hope it works out and will be compatible
      Have fun.

  3. Thankyou for those fixies. I hope Nvidia can support you because this is someting really desirable for 3D Vision. The games i used the patches come from unplayable to playable.

    1. If using 3d vision
      Start game, alt tab
delete d3d9.dll..If it lets you either installed to wrong location/or you need to update direct x 9

Otherwise I have no idea. Someone above you used it today just fine.

  6. Many thanks for this one, eqzitra! Really cool. I found I had to set rendering quality to "low" to get it working. With driver level setting to 8AA, 16AF, 4 MSAA and SSAO on it still looks gorgeous (and almost flawless in stereo 3D). A very immmersive experience indeed.

  7. Perhaps they changed something in their rendering, hard to say. Regardless, looks very good in stereo 3D with your patch even with "low" ingame settings.

    1. Np. Glad someone used it. Let me know if anything is missed. Its a game I think is awesome in 3D but its just not for me so I barely played.

  10. I really wanted to try your patch, but for some reason, 3d vision is not recognizing it as a 3d game (even without your patch) :( running version 2.0 and 320.18 nvidia driver

    1. Can you enable 3d vision at all or does depth bar show up and its just 2D?

    2. Well it is activated in my nvidia control panel, and I can play other games in 3d, but for some reason this doesn't come up with 3d vision enabled at all... maybe because I have gog.com version I guess.

Hey didn't you do some awesome work on Dark Messiah of Might and Magic recently? haha... we must love the same type of games :)

    3. It should be in full screen mode but besides that it should work. Im pretty sure we all pretty used the gog version for this game, best place to get it.

No, I didnt do Dark Messiah. Was mana84, I just noticed the issue and fixed it [600 series]

  11. Yep, thx for pointing out fullscreen... I thought it was, but then I checked and it was on "borderless." That fixed it.

    1. Honest mistake. Ive made it a few times but I use 3D vision so it still loads for me.

      Have fun.

  12. Does this work with the oculus rift?

  13. Does that pixelshaders file actually work for anyone? It doesn't seem to inactivate specular lighting and the problems associated with it for me.

  14. One question:

Mouse cursor is 2D in this game when I am correct. When in 3D mode I see the cursor two times. Is that caused of too high convergence/depth?

    1. Everyone's different so I can't say whats too high but prob.
You are using a 2D object to click a 3D object. Prob need to tweak settings.

    2. I found out I had to lower the convergence a little. But I have to bother you one more time. After adjusting the convergence and saving with Ctrl+F7 I get the "settings saved" message but the settings simply reset to default. I am completely clueless why, since it works in every other game.

  15. I just wanna tell you guys how awesome you are, making these fixes for people to enjoy games with 3D vision.
Playing Legend of Grimrock's "Dungeon Master"-mod with your fix is an incredible experience and one of my childhood dreams come true.
    Thank you! :D

  16. I was bothered by the reflections from things like floor plates, and tried to install the specular disable fix to pixelshaders, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Is this not what the fix is intended to address?

    ReplyDelete
  17. It did use to work but I think a recent patch has disabled/broken the fix. It tries to work but doesn't sync properly so you need to use the low rendering which is a shame!

It does still have issues with bloom (I HATE THAT CHEAP EFFECT!) though.

I might have a go and disable the effect. Thanks Bo3b!! :)

  18. Can someone confirm whether this fix is still working? I'm getting shadows rendering at the wrong depth with the current version of the game (oct 2014). The hotkeys for UI depth work so the fix looks to be installed correctly, just it's not fixing the big issue the game has in 3D - the shadows.

    Thanks.

  19. Any plan to make a fix for Legend of Grimrock 2? The first was so great in 3d, but stock the squeal is horrible..
