Sanctum 2

Sanctum 2
By Helix/ Eqzitara

Fixed: Shadows/effects [Helix's script]
Hud, additional effects, optimizations [Eqzitara]
Removed: Crosshair when not using sights.
Issues Remaining: Mini map drawing is removed. It was buggy in 3D. It sounds worse then it is.  All icons are still there.

If interested in my thoughts/optimizations on game check my blog post HERE.

I am only 80% done with campaign. I am having difficulty beating one stage. There may be a final update. If you are curious about "optimizer". Its because the view was way too narrow top/bottom with the hud on 720P. Might be a way with ini's but I couldn't find it. Probably won't bother 1080P gamers.============================================
If you like this fix I accept Paypal Donations at EQZITARA@YAHOO.COM or my PATREON.
Please keep in mind I am only one person at helixmod and all donations will go only towards myself.
Thank you for your support.

  2. Removing the crosshair makes this unplayable. Wouldn't it be possible to give the crosshair depth instead?

    1. *shrug* Not really imo, its rather hard to miss and you could use nvidia laser sight if you desired.
      Its easy to resolve though.
      go to shaderoverride/vertexshader/5CF48237.txt
      remove these lines
      mov r14.x, c251.x
      if_eq r14.x, c254.x
      mov r12, c254
      if_ne r15.x, c253.w
      mul r0, r0, c252.x
      mov r12, r0
      endif
      endif

  3. Is there a way to have the hud open without having to press the control key? I'm using a Xbox controller and I would love to see the hud and damage numbers without having to move to the keyboard.. 3d is great by the way!

    1. I might be misunderstanding. damage numbers should work fine on controller [Does for me]. Did you do this?

    2. Wow! Thanks very much. That totally worked. I guessed I missed that step somehow. I thought I did that step, probably because I did both sanctums at the same time. Doing that fixed the issue. Before this the HUD and damage numbers only appeared when pressing control. However after doing this step the HUD appeared and so did the damage numbers. Thanks for your help with that!!!

  4. Thank you for this fix. The 3D & HUD optimizer works great.

  5. I noticed the game looks very flat. My depth is set at maximum, so I tried increasing convergence but it has no effect, it only affects the floating hud, everything else remains almost completely flat.

Is there a setting am I missing? Or did newer drivers break fix?

    1. You have probably forgotten about this game but I got nostalgic and wanted to try it out again. I was able to get it working with the fix. Make sure to follow the instructions above. After playing the first time I found 3d was "on" but the image was not in stereo.
I hit control alt f11 once and I think that got it enabled. you might also need to hit control enter after that to re enable full-screen.
After doing those steps everything is working fine, sometimes a little jerky but that might be because I am running this at 1440p. However It is a blast to play again and in 3d!

    2. Turning off some of the settings (I felt unnecessary) in the advanced tab like bloom and blur and some of the others seemed to fix my performance issues. I turned off most of those but turned the textures up to high and it is running pretty smooth now!
