  1. Great work Eq!

Water reflections and other elements look spot on now... :'D
Just one question: should "depth of field" be selected in the game options menu or not?
    Thank you!

  2. Dear eqzitara,

I have Witcher Enhanced edition GOG version, but after copying files from shaderoverride.zip into every directory gives no results, no change. I was not able to enter First person Mod.

What version of Witcher U were using please?

    Thank You

    1. You got to download first person mod here.
Lost alot of info when it post got removed

      http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher/mods/203/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fwitcher%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D203&pUp=1

Then you got to edit the file...
TPP MinDist to -0.1 the 1st person camera will always start facing straight ahead instead of down.

    2. Thank U!

In first person mode when moving with mouse, that mouse is jumping by few pixels instead of normal smooth. Game appears "jumping -tearing". Any idea what can be done about it? I have tried to move up FOV to 90 but that experiment didnt solved it. Mayby i should more experiment?

"hud further in depth" - I found 3D Vision Complete Compatibility Project for Skyrim. I have tried to use this one for Witcher, Objects ingame are named properly in proper depth, But menu.. and inventoy names are not - they are like without 3D glasses. And how can be set crosshair to be in front of me like 30 procents on emiters? That would be fantastic :)

Thx again for all Ur efforst!

      Wich U best luck

    3. It sounds like vsync. Turn it on.

      Otherwise I have no idea.

    4. Its not vsync. Seems rather like camera was moving around some point in front of Geralt and was smooth, but now camera is moved "behind or in front(first person)" the spot it was focused before so that tearing appears.

Any idea how to move all menus more into depth? It can be seen that its prepared for 3D, but its still in very front, not moved into depth. Any idea? In same layer is cursor (crosshair) and needs to be moved more into depth.

Thx again and have a nice day!

  3. How can configure it so that the ingame objects appear correctly in-depth? Complete Compatibility Fix doesnt work for me.

    Greetings

    1. Looks like keys 't' and 'u' are used for different hud presets. What are you seeing, and what have you tried?

  4. I have The Enhanced Edition from Steam. I still have the long finger bug even after installing the SHADOWOVERIDE files.

Are there any additional steps I'm missing?

    1. Make sure the profile is set correctly. Use ctrl-alt-Ins to see what it says. The profile for Witcher.exe is supposed to already fix this problem.

      Some details.

  5. I've got GOG's Witcher Enhanced Edition. After trying the files from here (SHADEROVERRIDE) I see no effect but some 3D objects (trees, logs) rendering in 2D. Also tried 3D Vision Complete Compatibility Project for Skyrim as per Rexeos - same crap: some objects are not in 3D. Neither of fixes made objects' names appear in depth. Long dryad's boobs and Azar's finger beaming up bugs are hilarious, still I can live with those.

All and all, I'm pretty comfortable with the default 3D rendering, the game looks awesome in 3D. The only thing that bothers are: objects' names (main problem) and the crosshair (secondary to the previous one). I'd kill for a solution for that?

    1. Check that the driver is installed properly, maybe do a DDU reinstall. The Witcher problem is fixed with the correct Witcher profile. Use ctrl-alt-Ins to see what it is set to. Could be GOG version has a different exe name, so that profile is not connected.

    2. The default nVidia witcher's profile is detected correctly and says: "The Witcher; Raiting: Good; Set shadows to Medium, Character names are 2D". I didn't have to add any custom executables since the GOG's version exe name is "witcher.exe" (same as the original). Though if I add it manually it's all the same. Also I've just used DDU two days ago to install the latest drivers (v353.62). Here's my inspector's preset: http://s6.postimg.org/agdzhwd3l/witcher_inspector.png. Anything out of the ordinary?

    3. One more thing. I saw some solutions recommend changing "SLI compatibility bits" value in Inspector for Witcher profile. In my case I do not use SLI, I've just got one video card.

  6. Is there anything that can be done about the long stretching fingers and belts? a setting perhaps.
is there anything I need to set or download to fix this?

    1. Supposed to be fixed with more recent profiles. What driver version are you using? Make sure that Witcher profile shows from Ctrl-Alt-Ins. Problem is definitely caused by some profile setting.

  7. I have your first person mod working for The Witcher. The only issue I am having is the camera is jerky when moving around. I would like to make a guide how to play The Witcher in virtual reality, and would really like to show the first person mode working smoothly. Is there any settings you suggest changing to get the camera to stop being so shaky in first person mode?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for all your work thus far.

  8. I'm on 381.65 and having the same issues with fingers and boobs. This was also the case on the last version. Ctrl-Alt-Insert clearly shows it to be "The Witcher," so what more recent profile am I supposed to be using? Could I have a link to one that works?

    1. Just tested this on Steam version, Win7, Driver 378.92, and it seems to be working well. No long fingers for first chapter. Try using DDU for your driver.

    2. Long fingers is from incorrect profile as far as I remember they added a profile like 5 years ago for it.

Could google it I guess but try reinstalling driver as said.

    3. Reinstalled using DDU twice just now, the second time in safe mode, neither time made any difference. I've done a fair bit of googling already to no avail. I should mention also that this system began as a clean install of Windows 10; it can't possibly have any traces of drivers from that long ago.

    4. This was a former solution. Might work.

      1. Go download nVidia Inspector (google it)

      2. Press the small "tool icon" to the right of "Driver Version"

      3. Search for "The Witcher" Profile and select it

      4. Change the compatibility bits to 0x0240000D.

      5. Hit "Apply changes"

      6. Play the game and enjoy:)

No more lights through solid blocks or wrong fingers pointing in different directions:))

    5. Also I might be wrong but can also try disabling sli if you have enabled.

    6. I tried that before, and it unfortunately didn't seem to do anything. I don't have SLI anymore, so that's already off.

    7. Better off asking in nvidia forums. I am no longer active so I cant really say.

  11. Thank you.
With 3DFix 1.79 I can see the stereo image again, instead of HUD only, but the finger is still long.
