Ziggurat

Last Updated: July 13, 2020

What this mod does:
- Fixes shadows, lights, skybox, bloom and various haloing issues
- Adds an auto-depth feature for the crosshair
- Places the rest of the HUD at a fixed distance
- Adds the following keybind:
  • Z - Places HUD at screen depth

Installation:
1)  Download this ZIP file and extract the contents into directory that contains the game's EXE file.
2)  Use Nvidia Inspector to add "Ziggurat.exe" to the profile "3D-Hub Player". (For instructions on how to assign profiles, see this guide)
3)  In the game menu, disable "Sprint FOV change".

    1. I haven't yet tried Orcs Must Die. But I definitely see the Painkiller similarities.

  3. Good job. Really enjoyed it. I think the lasted Ziggurat patch broke it though.

  4. Hi, thk for the fix.
Game is good, it make me remember first doom gameplay.
Is there a way to put ingame HUD at screen depth, or slightly pop-out ? This could be a good thing because then, convergence could be increased a lot. For now, if I increase convergence, arm & weapon go up the HUD.

    2. I just re-installed the game (Steam & GOG version) and the patch is currently working for me. (Running Win 7 x64, drivers 361.43)

    3. Also, sometimes a patch won't activate until you increase or decrease convergence (default keys are Ctrl + F5 or Ctrl + F6). So try that and see if it makes a difference.

    1. No, sorry, our stuff is all built around NVidia 3D Vision, and requires NVidia hardware. You can possibly play using the AMD equivalent of TriDef.

    1. I just did a major update for the fix. I added an auto-depth feature for the crosshair. Bloom is now fixed. I moved the HUD a little bit closer to the screen. Also, I updated the instructions. It's no longer necessary to disable View Bob' or 'Sprint FOV change'. Let me know if you have any other issues.

    2. Slight change to my previous comment. It's not necessary, but it's still recommended to disable "Sprint FOV change".
