Wishlist

A wishlist for games that we'd like to see running in 3D.
This is a wishlist, not a set of requests. No person fixing games is under any obligation to follow this list.
Fixing games takes a lot of time, and anybody fixing games is obviously free to spend their time how they prefer.
The only purpose for this list is to judge community preferences.

N.B. If you are tempted to try to game the voting, keep in mind that I have several methods of detecting cheating, and I will summarily delete all your votes.

2-25-17: Update to release votes on all fixed games.
12-8-18: Update to start fresh list.  Previous version here.

Seriously thought you would have left since Fallout 4 mass whinings.

  5. I wonder what is Wrong with Star Wars: Battlefront ? I find the fix to work perfectly fine. Is this not the 2015 version?
The 2015 version has been fixed already so I am not sure what the problem is....

  7. Hey, how did we miss the game "Homefront"
it's one of those HOW THE HECK DIDNT IT DO BETTER GAMES, like "shadow warrior" the newer one. Homefront "seems like" and I quote seems like because I don't know how difficult this 3D patch work is but seems like an easier one to fix, due to it almost working in 3D already. there's just some elements that make it to hard to enjoy...

  8. I hope all you guys see this...seems a good a place as any to write: I would just like to personally thank ALL of you guys who put in all of this HARD WORK so that we can properly experience these games, games that SHOULD be fixed already. To have looked away, for only a very short while, and checked back here to find so many new fixes is highly refreshing. With Helix and Eqzitara bowing out, I was worried. My worries are allayed for the foreseeable future, apparently. Until VR becomes affordable, or even available, I will keep on digging my setup (and will continue to, VR or no).
I have currently been playing fixed Dark Souls II, and will for many more hours...it's going to take quite the effort to complete THAT game :-)
NVidia's lack of support for their own product has been a huge disappointment, to say the least. If they would/could have put this tech onto more people's heads, it may have taken off. The Fry's near me once had a demo station for 3DVision, but it was always down (alas) so no one could TRY it. I was fortunate at the time to have the cash to blindly jump in and buy the setup, and was not disappointed with the 3DV ready games of that time. I have not looked back since, and now I won't need to for some time. If nothing else, there is already a metric butt-ton of fixes here for games I don't own.
I've always been a huge fan of all things stereoscopic, and just don't get why anyone would miss out for the sake of the necessity to put on those 'stupid glasses.' 3D, IMHO, takes games and movies beyond entertainment to an EXPERIENCE, an experience we'd not have without the fixers out there.
So many games, so little time...

Sincerely, the one occasionally known as drastic00 on GeForce forum

  9. hi ! A lot of games have already a fix thanks to you. Why these games aren't removed from the wishlist ?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. We haven't decided how to handle the 'done' games. Some of the ones on the wishlist are fixed, but less than 3D Vision Ready, so some people want to vote for an even better fix. People can change their votes at any time though, so if something is done to their satisfaction, they can move their votes.

It's more of a rough guideline for ShaderHackers than anything else. Having people interested in better fixes is worth knowing, especially if they add a comment.

  17. Dark Souls 3 please! After learning about the "fix" for DS2 here, having played around 250 hours already, I put in another 150 with the glasses. It's magnificent and... makes playing without 3D nearly impossible. It's hard to gauge distances without it and made me a lot better at using halberds and the like, what with the "sweet spot" and everything.

Tried native 3D for DS3 and it looks like shit, but seems to have great potential.

I mean, it was working for a few months and we played it with lots of fun in those months.

  21. Hey there's a game called Spirits of Xanadu which is a really cool, short sci-fi adventure/horror game by people who obviously loved System Shock 2. I've played it through once (and yes there is replay value! :D ), it looked good in 3D, but shadows, lights and text on screens don't work right. Any chance of a fix? I think it's made in Unity. It's 75% off right now on Steam (for the next 40hrs)

    3. This looks like a glitch on Google's side - the API has been giving errors over the last couple of days that we are out of quota, but we are nowhere near that limit.

  29. Is there a fix for Ark Survival?
It already enables the 3D but the left eye is locked somehow.
It would be so awesome to play this in 3D

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Not so far. For locked left eye, you should try playing with different profiles, as that is a common problem for some profiles+driver combinations.

      Delete
    2. No, I've had a quick look at it, but until it's out of early access and stops updating quite so often it's not worth fixing - as it is I spend far too much time on other EA games that keep breaking my fixes with every update. The stuck left eye is a little more involved in this game than others - it needs both DX10StereoFlags set to 0x00004000 (or use e.g. "The Park" profile), and a workaround with 3DMigoto to move the constant buffer used for the Sky Effects from cb12 to cb13 (see https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/838584/3d-vision/ark-in-3d-vision/post/4810990/#4810990 ). The game still looks like a dog's breakfast after that, but the patterns for fixing UE4 games are all known.

      Delete
  30. Too bad :( Most early access games stay's in early access as thats the way they make money on it.
And Bo3b, thanks i will try that.

So i must look for a profile with 0x00004000 on both flags for DX10
I played the park with your fix and it was amazing :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. Even on steam people don't know in what stage ARK: Survival is anymore. Beta, ALpha, Gamma. There they are confused and i can not blame them. Even the devs don't respond back to them. They are only adding content so it seems that there will be no fix for this. Offcourse they add content, even games already released gets new content, look at GTA V, that's no ealry access and not beta or what you want to call it. And offcourse by adding content there can things go wrong, that doesn't mean it's early access. Now they say it will be released in winter 2016 while it was summer 2016. Thats a huge difference. In the winter of 2016 they say, sory people, it will be spring 2017.
You can send me the fix to my graveyard xD

    Replies
    1. Well, I have heard that the devs are not planning to upgrade the engine, which may make it a moderately safe game to fix so long as they don't do any tweaks to their graphics or shaders (even minor tweaks can break our fixes). But, that was 2nd hand knowledge from another UE4 dev almost a year ago and I'd still rather wait until they are confident enough with their game to remove the EA tag before spending time on it.

      Delete
    2. If they upgrade the engine, it will again take a long time which probably will happen. For now they only add content and not shaders etc etc. But i see still mny bugs in the game like you get teleport out of the caves everytime, and devs are not responding whatsoever, and that bug is there for ages. Also some beacons everytime spawn in places i can not go, like in mountains that are unbreakable, character gets stuck in animals and can not move anymore, and after a year of early access we can expect a bit more then same glitches. So i think the glasses are kinda useless. It's a pitty. All games i have , there is not even 1 game that left early access, and some were abandoned. Like Beasts of Prey. (shitty game anyway)

      Delete
  32. Is there a fix for Banished yet? Only the water shader is bugged in this game, otherwise 3D is working fine. I *guess* this should be an easy fix for our pros.

  33. Please do add FIFA 16 or upcoming FIFA 17 game with SBS support

    ReplyDelete
  34. I wonder if No Man's Sky will be able to be supported by 3D Vision, since all the content is procedural (and modders thus won't be able to individually tweak objects). Still, if I could give all my 100 votes to it, I would! That game would look jaw-dropping with 3D Vision.

    1. First rule of 3D Vision club: patience. It's never a slam dunk, and the games are always better after a month or so of patches.

For up to date info on any progress, see the thread here

    2. The world is procedural, not the shaders. So it should be fairly easy as the shaders are already in a folder.

Otherwise i just look now and then here on the site and geforce. thats all i can do for now.
Geforce site says i already have an account. And i dont want to make seperate accounts on there as i not always comment on every site. My guess is that Helifax already know about those shaders.....

The closest I came was to get the 3D vision to kick in using -force-d3d9 but then all the graphics became pink blocks.

    2. This is a no go - the company has added some anti-modder code that detects the presence of additional DLLs in the game directory and terminates immediately after the loading screen.

      Delete
    3. Their programmers are even worse than I thought - just change the extension on the 3DMigoto DLLs to upper case to work around their anti-modder protection, then enable full_screen=1 in the d3dx.ini. No shaders need to be modified and my template is not required - everything renders correctly out of the box, both with BVR and AVR.

  41. I know it's early but I've just started up Skyrim Special Edition and it doesn't just work poorly, it's really screwed up in 3D Vision.

If any one of you talented modders looks at doing the Skyrim Special Edition you'll have at least one appreciative downloader

And for those of you wondering why even without playing in 3D it still looks weird, turning off Stereoscopic 3D in Nvidia Control Panel before starting the game worked for me.

  42. I also would love a Skyrim Special Edition fix, right now the 3d is just completely broken.
It's become really weird to play in 2d!

  43. I think it's time to make a fix for Ark Survival as they don't work on the core engine anymore.
All teh devs are doing is adding content that are tranferable through obelisks from the DLC Scorched Earth to the Island map, that way they try to force people to buy the DLC. And now they are working on another map of SOTF. All they do also is adding content that exist last year.

I saw a post also that they asked us to make fixes because they don't have time or whatever.
Glad i didn't bought a monster PC for playing games in 3D.
Kinda knew this would happen. Games that are screaming for 3D don't have a 3D fix.
They made a 3D fix for no mans sky because many people wanted it but look at where No mans sky is now.
They could better invest time in making an Ark 3D fix.
Let's hope for the best i would say.

  45. I'd be very excited to get the new Carmageddon: Max Damage working properly in 3D. It is a very visually dynamic game, with blood and limbs flying at the screen and cars tumbling through the streets. It basically works as is (it is playable), but the shadows are different for each eye, and some effects like smoke and fire can render at screen HUD depth instead of world depth. There is some discussion of it here: http://www.carmageddon.com/forum/topic/26527

I believe they are using a custom engine (not Unreal or Unity or anything like that), so not sure how hard it would be to fix.

  46. Forza Horizon 3.
Let's get some other people on here to ask for that.

IMO, racing games are the best for 3D. I played NFS Shift for hundreds of hours because it was just so immersive way back when games weren't really all that advanced as they are today.

  47. This is a pretty amazing community. Only recently discovered it. Voted for the games I already own but seeing fixes for games definitely peeks my interest in, maybe, purchasing some new stuff. Also, if Final Fantasy XV comes to PC I would support the shit out of that.

  48. Is there a way for you guys to make a 3D fix for the game called: "My Summer Car" ??

    1. It looks like a pretty niche game, which isn't to say that none of the modders would be interested, but certainly makes it less likely. Also, it's in early access, which means anyone signing up to fixing that is in for a world of pain as updates will very likely keep breaking the fix every month or so. Since it's a Unity game you could try learning enough to use my template to fix it, but that isn't for the faint of heart - you really need to know what you are doing to be able to successfully use that.

      Delete
    2. Where can i find your template? i learned a bit of it but it's trial and error offcourse.
Maybe i can give it a try.

      Delete
    3. You are welcome to try, but don't be surprised if you find it like jumping in the deep end. My templates are in my 3d-fixes repository on github: https://github.com/DarkStarSword/3d-fixes under Unity and several variants under Unity5 - there's some documentation on there for each of the different templates. You will need cygwin installed with python3 (select it while installing cygwin) to even attempt to use them, and depending on the version of Unity you will probably also need cmd_Decompiler from https://github.com/bo3b/3Dmigoto/releases . There's some more details on the scripts in this thread that pre-dates the Unity 5.3 updates: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/902840/3d-vision/i-fixed-unity-reflections-and-got-more-than-i-bargained-for/post/4754010/#4754010 . You might get lucky and the template might work flawlessly for you, but if it leaves something broken you will need to go through Bo3b's lessons for the required background knowledge to have any chance of being able to hand fix something: http://wiki.bo3b.net

  49. Hello community

    My rig - Asus PG278Q, Nvidia 3D vison Kit 2, Clevo P771DMG, GTX 980M, I76700K

    Hello community

I didn´t use the glasses for a while, and they were working fine, but now, i notice some ghosting in my left eye, you can see it on this picture:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/ssw9fjv0u0qhh6u/20161127_215637.jpg?dl=0

I made a print screen of the 3D image with ghosting, i don´t know if you can see it to

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/ilydhv21qwf9v4l/MagicDuels01_50.jps?dl=0

Nvidia says that could be the glasses....but i think that if they were, i would notice more of this in other games/movies....

I notice also that the option in the wizard to control the external light, as disappeared..the option was this one

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/p9958fylswwsu3c/20161127_215841.jpg?dl=0

Also, after the last Nvidia update (yesterday), the ghosting is now affecting both eyes, and get much worst.....

I can´t understand what is going on....and i can´t test the glasses anywhere else.....Nvidia keeps saying that are the glasses, but with the last update of the Nvidia Drivers i´m not sure anymore

I also unplugged/plug in the emitter, restart the notebook, used DDU to uninstall the drivers, and install them back again......i really need some clarifying on this issue, because i have doubt if it really is from the glasses, or the driver

I appreciate all help my friends

    Thank you very much

  50. If this is the proper way to put in a request, I'd so love to see a fix for Shadow Warrior 2. I'm currently playing Shadow Warrior (2013) with Nvidia 3D Vision and it is hilariously fun to play. I've got Shadow Warrior 2 sitting on my drive waiting to be played, and the 3D compatibility mode I've seen while briefly checking it out leave much to be desired. Are there any plans for a Shadow Warrior 2 fix? If so I'll gladly play something else in the meantime.

I'd also like to thank those responsible for all the great fixes available on this site. I simply refuse to play anything in 2D anymore. I have just over fifty games in my Steam account, and they all run and look great in 3D. A surprising number of those games exist on my hard-drive because (and only because) you folks have kindly provided fixes that enable them to run properly in 3D.

Thanks so much to all of you and a happy new year as well!

    2. If you guys think that is a big problem, then you are in the wrong community. Have you done anything to help the community?

Best bet is to learn how to fix games yourself. I can promise you that bitching about it isn't going to encourage anyone.

      Delete
    3. And that is how he will react. The notorious bo3b...
I can remember did is not the first time you did that.
I can say that i made a fix for My Summer Car and you won't getting any of it.
I told you, i can script, and that it only take some time. You don't know who you talking to.
I did not insult you in any way, and what you just said is just wrong.
Keep in mind that there are people here that can ot script or even know how to use a PC like we do.
So saying that people have to make their own mod is just nonsense. I know you think otherwise but what you think, doesn't really matter. I already showed people how rude you are.
I am not the one to help the community, i am just someone that wants to play in 3D, now you on the other hand, should help people to get 3D fixes or are you now trying to say that people have to do it themselfs? Or what are you exactly and what are you doing here then? Complain to people that ask a mod in a nice way? and that they have to learn themselfs? Not everyone is as smart as we are. It's very easy to say that someone have to make it themselfs and post them here. Seems you are only redirecting to geforce forum and/or say that people are bitching and stuff. Now with that said. First it was only against me, now you say, and i quote: "If you guys think that is a big problem" so it seems that more people turns against you. Again, only time can tell and i have patients. You are the one that says: I am a scripter/shaderhacker and so on, so people count on you and your "friends". So saying that someone is bitching isn't encourage people aswell doesn't it? or you just don't care?
You are just rude. Very rude.

      Delete
    4. So... You don't consider it rude to say "Yea, Resident Evil 7 is on number two and still no fix while No Mans Sky (which is a bad game, very terrible), the fix was there in no time"?

We didn't fix your desired game, so you are telling us we suck? Surprisingly, I don't really respond well to insults.

      Delete
    5. No, that isn't rude, people ask a fix for Resident Evil 7 which is a good game and No Mans Sky is a very bad game that no ones play anymore.
What exactly think it's rude to say that there was a fix for No Mans Sky (which is a bad game and we all know it) and that Resident Evil 7 is on second place and it's a very good game, what is rude about that?
You didn't fix not MY desired game, you didn't fix people's desired game, that's what second place means.

I don't mind you don't respond good to insults, that's your good right. I don't blame ya. I can take much more then that. IF you wanted to respond better, you could say: hey you made a fix for My Summer Car so why not one for Resident Evil 7??? And maybe i will but i am more a guy that wants everything in 3D, not only the shaders, but the hud aswell, and offcourse i understand that not all is a fix for, that is not how the game designers made it although it take them very little work to do so. If you don't want to fix games anymore, just say it. At least you be honest then. I'll bet people will appreciate that more in the long run.

      Delete
    6. And by the way, you say this, and i quote "We didn't fix your desired game, so you are telling us we suck?"
Those are your words, not mine. I never said that. You are think i said that. Maybe you having borderline or what? i tell ya, chill down dude. I never insulted you and suddenly you insult the one that just say "Hey, Resident Evil 7 is second place so why there is no fix for it yet while No Mans Sky was there in no time".
If you think that's rude, then all things people say is rude in your eyes.

      Delete
    7. OK. Well maybe this is just a problem of English not being your first language.

"Yea, Resident Evil 7 is on number two and still no fix while No Mans Sky (which is a bad game, very terrible), the fix was there in no time"?

That comes across as a completely entitled comment. Like everyone here owes you a fix, and why are we so slow about making fixes, and why don't we at least fix the #2 requested game? It makes it sound like we are lazy and ignoring what people want. We fixed another useless piece of shit game, No Mans Sky, wasting our time on something that no one wants.

Maybe that is not how you intended to come across- but that is how that comment reads.

I'm only one guy, I'm not the whole community. I make it a point to respond to every comment on the blog, to try to help. Sometimes I get snappish because I get tired of people acting like we all work for them.

I rarely actually make fixes, I mostly spend my time fixing bugs in 3Dmigoto so that other people can use the tool. I also spend a lot of effort trying to help train other shaderhackers, to make the community stronger.

Everyone in the community has the right to spend their personal time however they see fit. No one is under any obligation to fix anything, including anything on the Wishlist, no matter how high it is ranked. We get no money for it.

Everyone in the community likes to share their fixes and work because it makes the whole community stronger. If you have a fix for My Summer Car and are withholding it out of spite, that just makes the community weaker.

  59. Added Overload to the game list and voted for it alongside Resident Evil VII.
(Overload is a descent-style 6DOF game from devs that worked on the original Descent trilogy. The lighting glitches in 3D look like this game uses Unreal Engine 4

    ReplyDelete

    1. Overload is available on Steam. (wish I could edit that into my previous comment rather than reply to myself)

      Delete
    2. Yeah the blogger code seems pretty out of date nowadays.

For Overload, we generally don't look at Early Access games because they get updated so often, and each update breaks our fixes, and thus takes a lot of time that would rather not spend on just updating. At the moment we don't have an auto-fix script for UE4 like we do for Unity.

But if someone is keenly interested in the game, it's their call if they want to spend the time. If you were interested for example, there are some UE4 example fixes, which might make learning ShaderHacking fun for you here. No worries if you are not interested in doing that.

    3. Hi Bo3b, love the work that you have done on all of these games; I am very thankful!

I have gotten into 3d gaming about a year ago and would love to replay overlord 1 with 3d vision (childhood favorite). You are mistaken about this being an early access game; It was released in 2007 and actually had a sequel (Overlord 2). Overlord 2 already has a fix on here that works quite well:

      http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2013/04/overlord-2.html

These games have very similar engines so I imagine that making a patch for the first one should be much easier due to the existence of this fix! Obviously I do not have the technical know-how on how to make these fixes, but if you could try or maybe even point me in the right direction on how to fix the lighting, I would be very grateful!

      Delete
    4. @tim: Yes, except that (Overload != Overlord) :->

If you wanted to get started looking at shaderfixes, best place to start is Bo3b's School for ShaderHackers.

Overlord 1 will be DX9 so that will match the class directly. If you think the game engines match, then using the Overlord 2 fix will be good as an example.

      Delete
    5. Haha, sorry... mid-terms must have had me seeing things lol. I am not a programmer, but I tried to copy the overlord 2 fix into overlord 1's directory - it did not do anything :(. I did mess around with the hex editor, but have no idea how to fix the lighting issues is the game. Everything looks great in this game - except when walking around in dim rooms with torches - The light around them is only shown in one eye which is really annoying.

I will try to work on this game a little more once I have some more time. Thanks for the guide!

Cliffs of Dover is a DX10 game and can not be fixed even with the build for DX10 I tried to fix it not gonna happen unless Migoto gets fixed to fix DX10 titles which I don;t see happening..

StarCitizen is never gonna get fixed I almost fixed it but since it is alpha andd they seem to be going to Vulcan it never is gonna get fixed as Migoto stands now..

I looked at Start Cicitizen and was told not too bother and nobody helped me with it.. But I did fix it but that fix is lost..

I know I ask alot of dumb questions and don't get much help with my fixes but I know why but it seems this too is gonna fail and soon nobody is gonna bother fixing the games.. shame but we do need a new list for Fixes..

I can at least make an attempt but I can not if I don't know what needs to be fixed or the very least what the Community deems important..

  73. Hey Im new here. I love 3D effects in games on a deeper, personal level as it has helped me overcome some psychological issues in the past.

I've 3 things I wanted to say besides this heh.

First off, There's a new game released which would heavily succumb and benefit from 3D and that is Hob, from the creators of Torchlight. Is there any way you could add a 3D element?
I can donate some money for it, make it worth your while ^^ !

Second, you guys are the best, doing what you do.. its crazy good for people like me, you've no idea what sort of impact you make.

Third, For how long have you guys been doing this and how long will you keep doing it?
Games are here to stay and 3D vision is getting abit old, I'd love to see the work and what you to in a probable long future ahead.

  78. I added Spintires: Mudrunner to the list. The game looks absolutely stunning in 3d vision. Only downside is the hud (and maybe even more but I'm not really aware of that). 4. I think that's a little unfair Bo3b - there's certainly no denying that Windows Store apps are (much) harder to work with and (very) far from zero effort, but given that Microsoft documents how to inject DLLs into them on MSDN and my proof of concept confirms that we can indeed get 3DMigoto to work with these games via that method (and is mostly but not completely functional) I would not say that they hate us - it looks to me more like they are trying to take steps to make malware authors lives harder (hence the code signing requirement), and I do think that they are misguided and their approach has created more work for us for no good reason. If it wasn't for my mental health issues taking me out of the community I am quite certain we would have had 3DMigoto working in Windows Store apps months ago.

I know there are some people trying to do their best with these fixes, but let's be honest, at the end it's useless for most games. The times i wear those glasses for games is zero. Buying those glasses were a huge mistake and i am glad i didn't bought any headset (Oculus and Vive) because i knew that developers don't care about that. And now the hype is over we can see what they made for it. And that's just almost nothing. It was a shot in a good direction but as 30+ years ago, it failed. So will it be the same with the glasses.
      Success with health Darkstarsword.

We may eventually be able to fix WinStore games, but there is so little of value there that it is not currently worth the effort. Avoid the WinStore, it's not in your best interest as a gamer to support them.

Green Hell is on Steam, and if you buy it there you can try the Universal 3D Fix for Unity games. If it's on WinStore, you are locked out completely.
