A Hat in Time

Really great game!!!
If you like 3D platformer games......you have to play this game!

Fix:
- Shadows
- Lights
- Reflections
- Halos in effects

Notes:
- For some reason i can't fix VS, the game/DLL refuse to inject fixing code. So...a few issues are present, really minor...like 2D HUD.

Game Settings:
- Disable Motion Blur, Screen Blur and Distortion

Instructions:
- Extract where HatinTimeGame.exe is located (\A Hat in Time\Binaries\Win64)

Download

    1. Wait, what? Nvidia 3D Vision doesn't work on Macs, nor Linux either.

  3. Has anyone had issues with the text not appearing in the menus while 3d is enabled?

    1. To clarify, text in those menus doesn't appear while the 3d is enabled, regardless of whether or not this fix is installed. Hitting Ctrl+T to switch back to 2d makes the text appear on those menus as normal, but re-enabling 3d makes the text disappear again.

    2. Not clear, but that seems like a driver problem. Try reinstalling using DDU.

  4. Anon, I had the same problem, my fix was to use ctrl+f5 to lower convergence until the text came back to the screen.
bo3b, I love the fix, and it looks really good, my problem is that with the fix installed, loading the game, and then each area take like 3-5 min. It feels like playing games back on my commdore 64 off the disk. Is there a fix for that? Also, The convergence F5,F6 buttons only seem to effect the menu text and not the actual game.

  5. Yeah, unfortunately, fix is broken in 2020... Shadows and water broken, missing text and zero depth (F5/F6 doesn't work) 😕🤷‍♂️

  6. Ah, too bad, I got the game from a Humble Bundle and thought maybe I could try 3D Vision for once in a long time, but I noticed the 3D effect was somewhat broken... Oh well, just gonna play it "flat" then.

    1. Seems mostly OK to me. Just tested on Win10 2004, Driver 452.06, Steam version, launched from HelixVision. Only real glitch seemed to the UI settings menu, but you can go to 2D for those because they are rarely changed.

Looks mostly OK, definitely playable. A couple of shadows that seem off like on red's tower, but not all, water seemed OK in fountain. Didn't try many settings to see if it could be improved.

Also worth noting that the 1.0 version of the game is available via the Beta tab on the game. Good chance that just works.

    2. I dont think this fix works anymore, extracted the fix and placed in the correct folder (having been playing in 3d since 2010), but 3d never kicks in, has an update made this no longer workable?

    3. Just tested this again, and it seems to be working well. I used 3DFM to setup and launch the game, and it looked flawless in a short test. Win10 2004, Driver 452.06, Steam version.
