Fallout New Vegas

Fallout New Vegas

Fix v1.0 by Flint Eastwood

- dynamic Crosshair
- Water shader fixed
- sky depth fixed (moon, sun, stars clouds)
- Convergence presets for PIP-boy,Terminal and VATS

Download:
FoNV_3DVisionFix_v1_0.7z

Installation:
-Be sure, you updated the game to the latest version.
-copy all files from the "1st_person" folder to your "Fallout New Vegas" folder if you like to play in 1st person view
-otherwise use the "3rd_person" folder, if you like to play in 3rd person view  - higher convergence (can be buggy with crosshair calculation, as character shows up in depth map)
-To get the dynamic crosshair working you need to install and enable a DOF-mod like "PyDOF"(included).
-copy the "pyDoF.esp" to the "...\Fallout New Vegas\Data" folder
-enable the "pyDoF.esp" in the FalloutNVLauncher under "Data Files"
-you need to set "bInvalidateOlderFiles=1" in your "Fallout.ini"
-enable DOF in the Pip-boy Apparel menu under "DOF options"
-If you load an older savegame, you have to enable DOF in the Pip-boy Apparel menu again.
This is needed to get the DepthMap working all the time.
I disabled DOF in the shader so you don't need to care about the unsharpness.
Tested with the steam-version of the game.

Have some fun :)

Discussion-thread on Nvidia forums: 3d-vision/fallout-3-goty-shaderhacking

Keys:
P   - Toggles DOF on/off
O   - Toggles HUD depth
RMB - used to set a separate Convergence for aiming too (maybe useable for an iron sight mod?)

Known Issues:
-some distant shadow cutoff (barely visible)
-bad performance (around 20fps) in some places (related to 3DVision CPU bug)
-not working with font-changing mods (DarnifiedUI)

History:
3DvisionFix v1.0:
- sky depth fixed (moon, sun, stars clouds)
- dynamic crosshair
- convergence presets for PIPboy,Terminal and VATS
- fixed the water

  1. Hey! Thanks for your work :-)
I have a question, i can get dynamic crosshair to work! Followed all your instructions (have also steam version). I can enable / disable dof in apparel menu. Maybe the game have to be installed on a particular location?
Something similar is required for the darksiders 2 game.
Thanks for your help in advance!

    1. Hey! How found the solution! you just need to press right mouse button (for aiming) each time after using PiPboy!
Thank you very much for the fix!

    2. Well, sometimes that happens. Sorry, but it seems that this can not be fixed.
I had this hickup mostly when entering main-menu while PIP-boy or VATS was enabled.
It is like helixmod doesn't set the constants right between the presets.
With right mouse button you switch profiles again and that sets constants correct again. So it should be not a big problem. :)
