Batman Arkham Knight (DX11)

This fix was made by mike_ar69, DarkStarSword and me (DHR).

Update Sept 11;
- Add Lensflares-Bloom on/off ("L" key). default off.

Fix:
- CS Shadows/ Lights
- CS Lights clipping by DSS
- Flickering textures
- Halos in effects
- Decals
- Reflections
- Models
- PS Shadows/Lights
- PS Point Lights
- Lensflares/Bloom (aproximate)
- Water Shore/rips in some zones
- Object Outlines
- HUD....i separate one by one all textures.

TB and SBS Mode (optional):
- The game support SBS/TB Mode using 3Dmigoto. Remove the ";" in the  ";include = ShaderFixes\3dvision2sbs.ini" of the d3dx.ini. Default TB Mode. F11 to cycle. Also remember to use "HDMI Checkerboard" in the NVCP to remove the 720p limitation.

Presets:
- "F1" to see presets

Settings:
- Disable Nvidia Gamesworks: Enhanced Light Shafts

Know issues:
- There are still some minor clipping of lights/shadows, specially in interiors.
- Some smokes looks a little strange (i play like that and is minor), that's because i go with the route of fixing with regex some massive PixelShaders that also catch those smokes shaders....i know how to properly fix it (VS+PS) but this should involve to fix manually a lot of shaders (+500).
- Some volumetric lights that appear time to time...this are shared with others fixed shaders that break them, so this is the less harming.

Instructions:
- Extract where BatmanAK.exe is located (\Batman Arkham Knight\Binaries\Win64)
- Start the game, when "Rundll32" prompt appear, press "Yes" (in Win10 this don't appear). This is for the Profile Override needed for this game. In Nvidia overlay you will see "3Dfix by Mike/DSS/DHR".

  14. Well, maybe its just me, but on later parts of the game, the snow is completely broken, some parts appear on only on one eye. Completely messed up. In the beginning of the game it looks very good.

    1. From what I can gather, the snow happens after the Mr Freeze DLC is finished. Maybe you did not play that part and that is why it was left unfixed?

    2. Yep, probably...still don't play any DLC...only main story.
I will start with Mr Freeze.

    2. if detective mode looks weird just change the cinematic view by pushing lb and rb on your xbox controller at same time. it toggles different views

Excuse me, I'm a administrator for the Arkham Modding Facility, a community made by modders like Espio001 and MrJAG for other modders and mod users. We've never heard about this fix but are quite interested in the work done here. If you're ever interested in discussing with other modders and discussing/improving your methods don't hesitate to message me ;)

  23. Hi, sounds amazing, but I can't get it to display 3D. It just does nothing when I hit F11, the picture is 2D. .I set in-game resolution to 1280*720
    .I uncommented include = ShaderFixes\3dvision2sbs.ini in d3dx.ini
.I set x7 = 2 in d3dx.ini for I need to play this in SBS

But it outputs 2D anyway, what did I miss?

    Thanks, Michael

    1. Just tested this, and it was working fine here. Win10 2004, Driver 452.06, Steam version. I launched using HelixVision/3DFM to setup params, and set the SBS on via the 3D Fix tab. SBS worked.

I did have to hit Ctrl-T to turn on 3D after game launched, but otherwise was fine.

BTW- I've seen masterotaku playing this game recently, so you might want to ping him to see if he's working on an updated fix.

  24. Hi bo3b, thanks for your reply. Every time I hit Alt+T the game crashes on me with the fatal error message

    Build_July_2012 1131575

and a bunch of "info" about affected files. Any ideas about that?

    Michael

    1. You don't give any system specs, so know way to offer help. Seems like maybe you aren't running the Schwing hack.

  25. You're right, so here it comes: I'm using 3DFM in the newest release and with all the recommended drivers. I installed the 3dmigoto 3D Fix for BAK, my projector's profile is set to 3DTV Play with 3dmigoto 3D format set to Regular 3D Vision. With these settings, the game starts, my projector displays a slightly ghostly image which is normal for 3D input -as soon as I enable 3D at the projector the image becomes clear when I put on my glasses. However there's no depth in it. Say I start an EP challenge first. A split second after I hit Alt+T I actually see depth but only for a brief moment - the game instantly crashes with this:
    Rendering thread exception:
    Fatal error!

    BUILD_JULY_2012 1131575 07-01-2016 06:29.36 Game
Address = 0x45437404 (filename not found) [in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps....BatmanAK.exe]
...and various other Hex addresses in this file, then

Address = 0xf543cec1 (filename not found) [in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll]

I'm pretty much at a loss here. Two weeks ago I played Arkham City without problems. Yesterday I played Assassin's Creed Unity with no problems either. Any help would really be appreciated!

By the way, you said sth about a Schwing hack...what's that supposed to mean?

    1. Check the forums at mtbs3d.com. No driver past 452.06 will work at all, and any driver past 425.31 needs the Schwing hack in some form. All DX11 games are broken otherwise.

  26. What is this Schwing hack?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Anyway, I just checked; 3DFM uses 425.31. So no problems with the driver version, has to be sth else

    ReplyDelete

    1. Should definitely be working fine with 425.31. The symptoms you described above, assuming same person here, are something I see when the driver has been corrupted. Would be worth doing a DDU clean reinstall of 425.31.
