GUIDE: How to bind a custom convergence/depth settings[Cycle] to a key of choosing.

Step 1: Download file. HERE
Step 2: Find game's .exe. Extract into same folder / One level up/ AND In any folder labeled BIN.
Step 3: Start game and Test U key and make sure key cycles.
If this does not work either game is not DX9, Installed incorrectly, or is incompatible.
Step 4: Find your preset 1 situation. Now click U and adjust your depth/convergence and save with F7, repeat up to three times.

  1. Is it possible to merge these changes into the skyrim default dx9settings ini file?

I'm trying to figure it myself at the moment, but having no luck at the moment.

    Thanks

  2. nvm I figured it out.

I'd just like to say that with this little touch it has made skyrim pretty much a perfect 3d game for me, no issues, with enb, with fxaa, with mods and no derpy 3d glitches and presets for first and 3rd person.

My 3d experience in many games like skyrim/me3/alice/dark souls and many more would be just a shadow compared to what it's like with these fixes.

I literally can not thank you two enough for the effort you -eqzitara and helix- have put in to keeping this community alive, well and having great 3d experiences. It's safe to say that without you two I easily would've stopped 3d gaming a while back.

    Thank you very much.

  4. Step 2 says find the games exe, okay no problem. Then it says extract into same folder. Extract what exactly into the same folder? Exactly which files?..... Then it says one level up. One level up is the directory before the directory where the exe lives? Is that right? Then it says you can put whatever we're supposed to put it any folder named bin? lol these instructions don't make any sense.

    1. Extract into same folder / One level up/ AND In any folder labeled BIN.

EXTRACT INTO SAME FOLDER AS EXE
EXTRACT ONE LEVEL UP FROM THAT FOLDER.
IF YOU SEE A FOLDER LABELED BIN EXTRACT INTO AS WELL.

It could be any of these 3 folders, I labeled them all as options for the people that are lazy and will complain before trying them all... so I make them try all at once.
Could of just tried each one rofl.

    2. “Extract what exactly into the same folder? Exactly which files”

See the words “Download file. HERE” in Step 1 above. Click the word “HERE” and it should download “Buttonpresets.zip”.
Inside “Buttonpresets.zip” it has “d3d9.dll” and “dx9settings.ini”. Put those files in the folder with the game’s EXE file. If that doesn’t work experiment as eqzitara explained.

Note this is to show the concept. If you have the files form a game’s specific page this will overwrite/replace “d3d9.dll” and “dx9settings.ini”. The idea is to actually edit the “dx9settings.ini” from whatever specific game you got the fix for.
