Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 (DX11)
Fix:
- Shadows
- Lights
- CS Tile Lights
- SSR and Reflections
- Volumetric Lighting
- Decals
- Halos in effects
- Lights Shaft
- HUD and Crosshair
TB and SBS Mode:
- The game support SBS/TB Mode using 3Dmigoto. Remove the ";" in the ;run = CustomShader3DVision2SBS in the [Present] section of the d3dx.ini. Default TB Mode. F11 to cycle.
Settings:
- Use Shadows, Shader Quality and Shading in the HIGHEST (at least those 3 to make the fix work properly)
- Copy-Paste this lines in the game.cfg (\Sniper - Ghost Warrior 3\GameSDK):
r_DepthOfField = 0
r_MotionBlur = 0
r_SSDO = 0
Presets:
- "P" key to cycle Crosshair or you can disable in the game menu
Note:
- Not all HUD elements are in depth, because they share the same texture, so break others stuff.
- r_SSDO = 0 disable that strange type of AO...make some stuff a litte blurry. You still have a normal AO.
Instructions:
- Extract where SGW3.exe is located (\Sniper - Ghost Warrior 3\win_x64)
- Start the game, when "Rundll32" prompt appear, press "Yes". This is for the Profile Override needed for this game. In Nvidia overlay you will see "3Dfix by DHR".

Thanks!
nice, now i have reason to purchase the game. thanks man!
ReplyDeleteAren't we spoiled, only problem is to have enough time to all those amazing games in glorious 3D !!!
ReplyDeleteHUGE thanks DHR :)
Amazing!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot DHR!!!!!
Do you see that in a particular location... since this is "kind" of Open World...i probably miss a shader. I don't visit all spots.
ReplyDeleteFor example in the screenshot the water reflections is OK: http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/DHR/image/5a5b6d28e7e564843d00004f/
Awesome! I was waiting for it. Did not start to fix it by myself because of two reasons: 1st - Did not know how to fix Cry Engine 3 with it specific shaders and 2nd - It was quite playable in Compatibility Mode
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot DHR!
ReplyDeletei can see r_DrawNearFoV=55 in the game.cfg, i change to DrawNearFoV=2 in order to disable gun like your Crysis 3 fix,There is no change in the game ,any suggestion ?
Hi daspwan!
DeleteI think they remove that option...i also try it, and don't work for me too.
Also try to separate the Hand and Gun to disable or change the convergence for the gun, but was impossible to separate :(
I will check! But i remember the water was looking fine there.
ReplyDeleteBe sure you use Shadows, Shader Quality and Shading in the HIGHEST.
tridef 3d has gun automatic detection and Independent convergence function in FPS games, (like what you did in prey,but no canying on the edge of the gun in tridef 3d,)tridef can't fix shaders one by one,what a pity

ReplyDeleteis this a fix for a non dx12 cards, amr? I have an AMD HD 6970, will it run with your fix?
ReplyDelete*edit
No, sorry, this requires NVidia 3D Vision as the base driver to provide the 3D image. We modify the 3D image to fix glitches. You can possibly use TriDef software which supports AMD.
DeletePresently only DX11 games, although that's not a limitation at present DX12 is not much enough of an advancement for game developers to spend the time.
Great fix DHR, thank you for your work and generosity to share this!
ReplyDeleteConsidering the general negative consensus about this game, I was surprised by how much I liked it. Probably playing it in 2019, after many patches (including a community/unofficial one) greatly influenced my perception. It has an interesting story, which in today's FPS/shooter context it's quite refreshing. It's also open world, which for me always results in better immersion.
For an optimal playing experience, it does require jumping through a few extra hoops however.
After following DHR's fix comments, go to https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Sniper:_Ghost_Warrior_3 and apply as many of the recommendations you find there (apply the unofficial patch, tweak the video settings in game.cfg, skip intros, etc). The unofficial patch is mandatory if you want to remap the keys, for example.
4K TV users: unfortunately since the fix requires some of the most CPU-hungry settings to be on highest, we cannot get away with playing this in 4K. And with it being an older game, there are no resolution scaling options in-game or in the gfc file. This leaves us only with with the upscaling option (SBS/TAB is always a no-go for me due to screan tearing/desync), and luckily it works fine with the default settings in PaulDusler's awesome 3D fix manager. However, using the upscaling shader comes with the usual inconveniences like mouse inactive on most of the screen, and another issue I've discovered more recently whicih is that, even in games where you can get away with not using the mouse cursor too much for skill-ups, alchemy recipes, inventory tetrix, etc and where you could potenttially just use the keyboard to navigate the menus, use of upscaling shader makes the game cursor skip one in two menu options. So, if you want to navigate for eample a list of settings like Sound, Video, Controls, Gameplay with your keyboard, pressing one of the arrow keys will jump from Sound to Controls, thus making it impossible to select the VIdeo settings. SInce you cannot use the mouse to reach that area, you're stuck. To get around this problem, I had to use my gamepad occasionaly. I am not aware of any other workaround for the moment. But the upscaling shader is still a God-send for 4K users, when it works, so it's a small price to pay.
Hope more people get to enjoy this great game with DHR's fix.
Thanks again for this great job, DHR!
ReplyDeleteMaybe is it due to a game update published after the fix but I've the same issue as raoul on january 15, 2018 : a big rendering issue of all submerged areas in the game : All objects or parts of objects with water in background are duplicated in each eye!
