3D Vision and geo-11 fix for Ori and the Will of the Wisps. The original fix made by Losti is here.
I made this post because the developers updated the engine at some point, making the original fix not do anything to the game. Losti preferred that I make a new post instead of linking my fix file in his post.
Update (2022-07-07): geo-11 fix added, with some small extra fixes as well as HUD depth and toggle hotkeys.
Fixed
- Haloing problems.
- Shadows and lighting.
- Light shafts.
- Movement streaks.
Installation
- geo-11 (new, with v0.6.16): download this file and extract its contents in the "Ori and the Will of the Wisps" folder, where "oriwotw.exe" is. Remember to edit "d3dxdm.ini" to change your "direct_mode" to the output you need.
- 3D Vision (older): download this file and extract its contents in the "Ori and the Will of the Wisps" folder, where "oriwotw.exe" is.
- Launch the game and let it overwrite the profile.
- Launch the game and let it overwrite the profile.
- Choose fullscreen in the display options.
Hotkeys
- F1 or XB_RIGHT_THUMB: convergence presets (0, 2, 4, 8, 12, 18). 12 by default.
- F2: HUD depth presets (0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100%). 40% by default. It includes the mouse cursor.
- F3: HUD toggle. Not disabled by default. It includes the mouse cursor.
- F4: some blurriness toggle (this isn't depth of field). Not disabled by default. I don't recommend disabling this
- F5: vignette toggle. Disabled by default, because dark corners are annoying in 3D.
- F6: bloom presets (x0, x0.2, x0.4, x0.6, x0.8, x1). x1 by default.

Any tips for windows store version?
ReplyDeleteI can't say for sure because I can't try it, but you can try this:
Delete- Unzip the fix in an empty folder.
- Download "3Dmigoto-1.3.16.zip" from here: https://github.com/bo3b/3Dmigoto/releases
- Copy the "3Dmigoto-1.3.16\loader\x64\3DMigoto Loader.exe" file to the folder.
- Open "d3dx.ini", go to the "[Loader]" section.
- Uncomment the ";target = \Dead or Alive 6\DOA6.exe" line and write "target = oriwotw.exe" (without the quotes), if the process name is the same as for the Steam version.
- Uncomment the ";module = d3d11.dll" line.
- Execute "3DMigoto Loader.exe" and then run the game.
Tell me if it works or not. I don't know if you will need to uncomment ";require_admin = true" or not.
oh, I didn't know the old fix was broken - thanks a lot masterotaku!
ReplyDeleteCan you add an option to disable "Depth Of Field" please??
ReplyDeleteI tried, but couldn't. I think it happens for real sometimes, about water in the distance (that's what I tried to disable), but most of the time, depth of field seems to be "baked" into the textures themselves. I think.
Deletecharacters models seems missing parts for exmp: left eye one wing visible and right eye invisible and wiseversa, how to fix it?
ReplyDeleteI can confirm that geo 11 works with 3d vision as well. Thank you. (Btw, without geo 11 fix, 3d vision old fix or without anyfix the game never starts in 3d)

DeleteAs someone sort of "returning to" Nvidia 3D Vision (as a lot of more modern games seem to not be in 3D...) -
ReplyDeleteI just played "The Talos Principle" using your 3D Fix
And now (after failing to get "Ori and the Blind Forest - Definitive Edition" working in 3D (I'll have to read how others got that 3D fix to work...) - I tried your 3D Fix for "Ori and the Will of the Wisps"
On my RTX 2070 it looks like a LIVING BREATHING cartoon world...absolutely amazing work compared to the 2D !!
Donation on way from me (makara@sky.com)
Keep up the good work :-)
