How to make make things working:

PLEASE ENSURE you are using a 3D-Vision-SUITIBLE Driver SetupTo proove or achieve, I suggest reading + using this:

1. INITIAL-Setup (only needed once):

  • download the fix from below and EXTRACT the archives files to the game install folder: ...\GAMEINSTALLFOLDER\System\
  • Please read/follow the section below ("Starting the game and Ingame Setup")

2. Starting the Game and Ingame-Setup:

- START the game via DeusEx.exe, check the config menu, ensure the settings are matching this (except the resolution, this is up to you):

- Additional In-Game Settings:

    • nothing special, everything is up to you!

    3. Key Assignments in the Game:
    • ALT + NUMPAD 1             Cycle HUD depth (except crosshair)
    • ALT + NUMPAD 2             Cycle CROSSHAIR depth
    • ALT + NUMPAD 5             Cycle convergence depth presets (raise)
    • ALT + NUMPAD 4             Cycle convergence depth presets (down)

    4. Problems?:

    • PLEASE provide detailed information about the ERROR you got, as well as information about your hard (GPU) and software (driver/windows version) setup

    2. Have you looked into doing this with the native DX11 renderer instead of dgvoodoo. https://www.moddb.com/mods/unreal-directx11-renderer-for-ut-ug-rune-and-dx

This renderer has POM, HDR, SSR and other more modern rendering systems.

      1. Yeah but there are things to fix and the HUD cannot be fixed easily because the VS will not work in HLSL and do the things in ASM is a bit much of effort for some more effects ^^

    3. I get an error "Can't find file for package 'otpUIfix'" when trying to launch the game. This is a fresh install of the GoG version and with the patch applied by 3D Fix Manager. How do I fix this?

      2. I fixed this by going into Document/Deus Ex/System and opening the DeusEx.ini file. Need to edit the Root = otpUI blah blah to:
        Root=DeusEx.DeusExRootWindow
then save. That will allow the game to load.

    4. Has anyone found a way to get this game working with the new geo-11 fixes?

      1. Works fine for me on the Steam GotY version. I just added dgvoodoo and geo-11 files to the System folder. What seems to be the problem?

      2. I think I was using the x64 geo-11 files instead of the x32 ones before. It works for me now. I've been wanting to play this in 3D for so long, thanks!
