Way to go guys. This is a AAA title that is 3D Vision Ready now. Everyone will enjoy these fixes for HOURS and HOURS :)
ReplyDeleteWorks great, here is a higer res. picture of it working in game.

Nice job. I found the best way to adjust the convergence is to take off your glasses and turn it up there until your character looks 2D (count the taps between two images on one side of convergence until two images on the other and then go back half that amount). If you don't adjust convergence to your character, you'll see shadow separation on the ground.
ReplyDeleteConvergence Adjustment: Open nVidia Control Panel; Set up Stereoscopic 3D; Set Keyboard Shortcuts; Show Advanced In-Game Settings; Check Enable Advanced In-Game Settings. Start game and use CTRL-F5 & CTRL-F6 to adjust. CTRL-F7 to save the settings for Diablo III.
Thanks great work ;-)
ReplyDelete.. but Dark3D ( Sharpness Mod ) not works with this 3D Vision Fix ... Booth needs a Spezial d3d9.dll
It works, just create a d3dsetting.ini file and just rename the Dark3d d3d9.dll to something else.
Deleteok .. how with skyrim .. thanks :-)
Deletein the DX9Settings.ini :
ReplyDelete[Preset1]
Convergence = 0x42a8daa6
Separation = 0x425ffffd
UseSepSettings = true
ProxyLib=D:\Spiele\Diablo III\d3d99.dll
But nothing happens .. dont work.... booth dll´s are in the Diablo III Directory .. d3d9.dll ( The 3D vision Fix ) and d3d99.dll ( Dark3d )+ The Directorys darkD3_Shaders and ShaderOverride
Mayby the name of the ini is wrong ? d3dsetting.ini or d3dsettings.ini
the d3dsettings.ini are from dark3d
Sorry for my Englisch im from Germany
Thanks for the fix! Shadows and water are much improved.
ReplyDeleteWas wondering if it would be possible to adjust the convergence for the text, map, and HUD? When I set the convergence as Ron describes I find that some of the scene slightly pops-out beyond the HUD. And, was thinking that if the HUD slightly popped out as well it might be easier on my eyes.
Thanks in advance.
@Anonymous: I'm sorry but presets don't work even for me with this game.
ReplyDeleteI've tried to make the hud to pops out, but there was a bug with bar's icons.. I'll retry and update the post if I can make this work.
thx, but needs update for win 10
DeleteWhen you finish that update, we'll be happy to post it.
Delete... ok ... so did anyone manage to run both helixmod and darkd3 together? ... i've been reading as well that some d3dsettings.ini file is required but not sure how to rename things exactly or what to put inside it.
ReplyDeleteI put your ME2 video on 3dvisionlive.com .People have given it lot of positive feedback. Just letting you know.
DeleteIf you ever do another video for any game on site please let me know. I would love to add it.
DeleteHappy to hear that ... as for new videos i am on a second playthrough on ME3 and Mirrors Edge is on the list too ... i usually do a lot of footage capture during gameplay and if i will have the time afterwards will do some edits.
DeleteThanks again for the great work you guys are putting into this.
I spent quite some time trying to marry them both up with no luck. This is the first game that I haven't been able to get HeliXmod working with injectFXAA.
ReplyDeleteTo get DarkD3 working, I created a file called D3DSettings.ini
ReplyDeleteIn the file I have:
[General]
ProxyLib=C:\Blizzard\Diablo III\d3d9dark.dll
UseEndScene = false
That's all and it works for me. Make sure to rename your DarkD3 d3d9.dll file (mine is d3d9dark).
Can anyone else confirm this so I can put it on the page?
Deletedoesn't works for me, i've made the ini file and changed the path to mine E:\Diablo III\d3d9dark.dll
Deletedoesn't works...
what am i missing ??
Yes .. it works
ReplyDeleteBut the Game slows Down with 3D Vision to jerky 30 FPS with or without any fixes and the Mouse make Problems when you use low Convergence ,but I have to use a low convergence because I usually prepare the houses and the trees in the background problems in my Eyes .. difficult to fix
Generally the Game makes in 2D 60 FPS and with 3D 30 FPS... a kind of frame limiter by Blizzard.. its Possible Blizzard Fixes this with a Patch ... or the Comminity with a Mod.
Thanx.
DeleteSteady 60 FPS in 3D Here. I have 2 x 680's though. Maybe your video card is capping out.
hmm .. mayby... a have 1 X 570 @850 mhz , Intel 2600 @ 4,5 Ghz and 8 GB Ram
DeleteBut Skyrim runs @70 - 90 FPS by 2D with Texture Mods ... Diablo 3 is running in 2D by 60 FPS .. thats Something Wrong with Diablo 3 , i think its a Frame Limiter .. i never over 60 FPS but also never under 60 FPS ... Diablo is sure not so Hardware hungry as Skyrim with HD MOD´s or ?
I have a 570 too, but I'm not capped at 30 fps with 3d on. Have you tried setting power management to Max form adaptive?
DeleteThats it ... the Max by power managment in the Nvidia Controll Panel .. thanks :-)
DeleteNow i have 30 - 60 FPS .. but my PC hase strong to fight with D3 in 3D , maybe i must upgrade my Graphic Card ;-) in the average i have 40 - 45 FPS .. to small for smooth gameplay for me.
But Thanks for the Tip ;-)
2D 60 fps limit is still present..hmpf
DeleteVsync In the Game Menu Off .. in the Nvidia Controll Panel Force VSync and in the Game Menu FPS Options full Throttle and i Have now 120 FPS @ 2D .. The 60 FPS Limiter is the In Game VSync Option.
DeleteIn 3D now i have 30 - 60 FPS
For me, this makes the water flicker. Looks right in 3d now, but flickers. Shadows look great! Thanks for all your hard work!
ReplyDeleteI will look at it later. Delete
Delete5A37B314.txt from shaderoverride/vertexshaders to remove it
I have GTX 680 sli btw. SLI may be causing the flicker.
DeleteI looked at it on a single GTX 580, same thing, occasional flicker to fullbright on the water. Seems to happen more in the sewers. Nothing major really, I didn't turn off the override.
DeleteGame crashes when I try to launch. Just downloaded patch 1.0.2 today so I'm assuming that broke the d3d9.dll
ReplyDeleteI also just update to the 301.42 drivers if that would be causing the crash
DeleteI have newest drivers, I updated to 1.0.2.
DeleteNo crash.

DeleteI got it working. Thanks for the reply

ReplyDeleteStandard shadows are broken after new patch or after new beta drivers - updated in the same time so i don`t know actually which one did it.
ReplyDeleteDoes this still work out of curiosity? I know diablo 3 died down alot but strange ive heard nothing.
ReplyDeleteStill working for me, although I'm in the same boat as others where I can't get DarkD3 working with this... then again, I couldn't get the SMAA injector working with Borderlands 2, neither, so the problem may lie between the chair & the keyboard ;) (although I'm generally pretty good at tweaking things).
DeleteTy
DeleteBorderlands 2 instructions on AA is in comments in dishonored. Im too lazy to download diablo 3 and see if I can get it to work.
err injectors.
DeleteShadows are broken for me.
ReplyDeleteNew beta drivers with patch 1.0.3.
Not sure to be honest, dont have game installed but to be honest I had 3 people say same thing since release. Reinstall driver then let me know.
DeleteOK. So the shaodws work, but certain shadows that pop in and out of the players view are broken. You can notice this in the town where you can walk by a lamp post near an inn. The sign of the inn casts a shadow on the ground but the fog is overlayed over it.. This causes the shadow to be rendered improperly. The character shadows are all fine.
Deletesince newest patch Helix Mod isnt working anymore. Shadows and a few objects are broken.
ReplyDeletesorry, my fault. The "driver reinstall" hint worked :-)
ReplyDeleteFirst off... THANKS! Works perfectly for me in 1920x1080. However, when I switch to multi-monitor 3D Surround (Nvidia GTX 690), some of the shadows are broken.
ReplyDeleteAny idea why the change in resolution would make this happen?
Wazoo
Did you exit out of game then reboot at that resolution?
DeleteI tried multiple combinations of alt-tabbing out, restarting, etc. I even switch back to 1920x1080 and it works perfectly. But if running either WideScreen Fixer or Flawless Widescreen and running at multi-monitor res, the problem returns.
DeleteDo you know of anyone who has successfully run on multi-monitor with shadows enabled? My best hope is that it is something with my setup or options that is fixable.
Wazoo
Best option is to ask on nvidia 3d forum. I have no idea how the multi monitor stuff works.
DeleteHi. It cannot download the file.

DeleteHey there. Is it normal I can't get a good convergence value that works both ingame and in the menus? Once set to my liking in game and I come back to the menu, it looks distorted and I have to readjust the convergence. (i need 1 setting for the menu and 1 for in game).
ReplyDeleteThx for the help!
Thanks for the new update - the new loot system makes the game a lot funner now! Do we still need to import the profile as suggested above?
ReplyDelete*shrug* I did it because I was in a rush to fix it + i=t has msaa on it. It doesnt hurt anywayz.
DeleteThanks for the update but I cant download the D3 inspector profile - link doesn't seem to work??
ReplyDeleteRequest - SC2 has very similar issues since the expansion was released, any chance you could fix that game pretty please? :)
ReplyDeletesc2 has its own 3d built in. I've even played the expansion in 3d.
DeleteYes it does, and since the expansion was released it has errors.

ReplyDeleteIs it me but my D3 still have issues with shadows - Act 2 ruins are unplayable like if they was not fix ???? Weird
ReplyDeleteIf you have any visual issues try to alt tab till issues are fixed. [Might take a few tries]
DeleteGo here if you have any further issues.
https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/696411/3d-vision/diablo-3-new-patch-3d-wont-start-/
The game won't even start in 3D Vision with 780 Ti SLI on 334.89
ReplyDeletego here if you have any issues
Deletehttps://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/696411/3d-vision/diablo-3-new-patch-3d-wont-start-/
ok, with the newest drivers 3D wont start on my Gtx 660, but the simple fix is just delete the profile using NvInspector, and the shadows will be fixed too, its amazing.

Confirmed. Removing profile makes game look and work flawlessly with 3D Vision! Also, my FPS increased drastically!
DeleteHow do you actually remove the profile?
DeleteWhen I remove the Diablo III profile via Nvidia Inspector 3D doesn't work at all anymore in the game? Do I miss something?
Yeah im wondering how to remove the profile too
Delete"Confirmed. Removing profile makes game look and work flawlessly with 3D Vision! Also, my FPS increased drastically!"
Deletenothing worked as you discriped
Step by step with pictures on using NVidia Inspector.
DeleteDelete profile
Guys remeber to enable Vsync to get the 3D enabled :D
ReplyDeleteSo how exactly do you install this mod? im a little confused. Please help me out.
ReplyDeleteYou shouldn't need the helix mod to play d3 in 3d have you tried without?
DeleteAlso with the last update being so old is it even good anymore?
working fine except for the hud and some displaying issues with the water in sewers maps
ReplyDeleteHey guys, im sorry im going to need a little help i am new to this. i know how to get doom working in 3d, installing the open gl files into the game directory in 3d surround gameing URL, and then extracting the files in the fix into the game folder. i want to try to get diablo 3 working in 3d, can someone give me the files i need to extract into the game folder, or a simple explanation what files i need. i extracted the FIX FILE into the diablo 3 folder, what else do i need now?
ReplyDeleteJust in case anybody still wants to play this (why not?), it seems to work just fine in 3D Vision even without the fix. You just have to remove the profile in Inspector. Crank up the convergence for a great experience!
ReplyDeleteDid the latest patch (3/21/17) break Diablo 3 or is this something on my end? Character is now divided into two parts (helmet, weapon etc on one, the rest on other other). Not sure if this is easily fixed but just wanted to let everyone know.
ReplyDeleteYes, some recent nvidia driver or game update did something, not like your problem....
DeleteBut some things have a ghost like bug(lamps, fire, magic things and some other), almost like a bug with SSAO, but it happens even with ssao turned off....
I still had the profile removed with inspector, need to test without removing it next time.
I can't even get 3D vision to turn on.
Delete(lamps, fire, magic things and some other)
DeleteI have that too since some recent update to drivers or game.
Annoying :(
Im having the exact same issue, character is split into two, mainly the armor getting divided from the character and also followers. Also very weird effects going on with f.ex the bodies in A3 town "floating" weirdly when moving. Anyone figured out anything? Is anyone NOT having these issues? Ohh, and i cant start in 3d unless i use 32bit client, anyone gotten this to work in 3d under 64bit?
Deleteplease help. I activated the advanced settings in the control panel which should allow me to set the convergence. When I try to change it in-game with ctrl+F5 and ctrl+F6 nothing happens with the image. (I get response for ctrl+F7 which saves my changes. This assures that I have activated the advanced settings.) Can someone help me? I already installed the FIX from this site and loaded up the new nvidia profile for the game that I have downloaded from here (see "Editor Note").
ReplyDeletenvm I just got it :)))
DeleteThe WARNING page link does not work. What did it say? Is it just a warning that you may get banned by blizzard?
ReplyDeleteYep, that's the warning. archive link
DeleteHi,
ReplyDeletethis mod no longer seems to work with Diablo III, I get flickering between a grey screen and the game then Diablo III crashes...
Rig:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.5GHz
16384MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080
Speakers (ASUS XONAR PHOEBUS)
DirectX Version: DirectX 12
Driver: 431.60-desktop-win10-64bit-international-whql
I have the latest 3dFixManager and drivers installed.
Can anyone help, any advice?
Is this mod/3D fix going to be updated?
Thanks!!
I just tested it without using the fix, and it seems like it's working pretty well. There are only a couple of very minor glitches, so the fix may no longer be necessary. No grey screen or crashes. I only used the demo/starter version.
