Dying Light (DX11)

Originally fixed by: DHR
Fix updated by: 4everAwake

Last Updated:  March 10, 2021

What this does:
- Fixes shadows (including Nvidia PCSS), lights, water, volumetric sun shafts, bloom, lens flare and flickering textures
- Fixes reflections and makes them stereo
- Adds an auto-depth feature for the crosshair and some HUD elements
- Places other HUD elements at a fixed depth. (This depth can be changed in the d3dx.ini file)
- Adds an auto-convergence feature for the Main Menu screen
- Adds the following keybinds:
  • Right Mouse Button / Xbox Controller Left Trigger - Very low convergence preset for aiming with gun iron sights
  • P - Toggles the auto-depth feature for HUD elements (except for the crosshair)-- 'On' by default.
  • O - Toggles HUD on/off (for screenshot purposes)

Remaining Issues:
- Screen-space reflections look a little incorrect

Installation:
1)  Before installing the fix, ensure the game starts in Exclusive Fullscreen when 3D is enabled.  For Windows 10, you may need to change the Compatibility mode to "Windows 8" and also "Disable fullscreen optimizations". (Do this by right-clicking on the game EXE --> Properties --> Compatibility tab)
2)  Download this ZIP file and extract it into the game directory: "..\Dying Light\ "

      No you didn't :(((((((((
God damnit...but ok, cause I know it would be a pain in the ass...
I already offered/asked more than one shader hacker to get some interested people(including me) to give $$ to do it...but nothing yet.

    2. I'll look this. But it might be impossible to do in this game, given how interlinked everything is. If anything, I might only be able to bump up the convergece by no more than 50% (from the current 0.25 value, to 0.38).

    3. Hey 4everAwake!

Yeah, in the early versions of the old fix, DHR did made the hands/weapons convergence separated from the game conv, but since after some updates or new weapons, one would have to update those shaders again(and its too much weapons), he stopped fixing it, cause its too much work...
I talked to DJ-RK and masterotaku about it too...DJ-RK maybe would be inclined to do it, for some $$, and masterotaku maybe would look into it and think about it, once he installs the game again lol

So, I don't know what else to say...or what could be done...but I think even with the hands/weapons at screen depth would be better, but maybe the work required is the same(i dont know that).

I don't blame you guys not wanting to do it, and the game still get updates that could break it again...
But, if one of you would do it for a price, and I don't need to be the only one paying(1 dollar = R$ 5,60 here now, Brasil)...I'm in! :D
