Cyberpunk 2077 [RealVR + VRto3D]

Luke Ross updated his RealVR mod to support VRto3D for 3D displays.

Update 2025-08-29:

  • Updated profile to use full-framerate AER, which should result in much smoother gameplay without artifacts if your PC can push 120fps
  • Changed FoV and corresponding Depth&Convergence to better match the original game setting
  • Updated DLSSS Instructions - no more ghosting!
Notes:

  • Camera now has native controls, so you can play with a gamepad or mouse&keyboard
  • RealVR uses Alternate Eye Rendering, so it is essential to maintain a consistent framerate to avoid eye-flips or other artifacts, so adjust your in-game settings accordingly
  • 3DVision hardware is playable on latest drivers thanks to WibbleWobble. Check VRto3D ReadMe for instructions
  • Runs well on 2080ti hardware without ray tracing

You will need:

  • VRto3D v3.3.0 or newer setup for your 3D display here
  • RealVR v22.0.0 or newer from Patreon
After getting these, you can follow the instructions below, or on GitHub
If the wrong game is showing below, refresh the page and you should see Cyberpunk 2077.

  1. Nice, I havent tried this. I assume you need a pretty beefy machine to make the game not break the 3D? Also is this better than The Vorpx alternative? Not sure if there is any other way to play this on VR.

    1. Yes, as with all RealVR games, it is essential to maintain 60fps. I'm running it with a 2080ti and someone else reported running it on 3060ti.

I haven't tried cyberpunk with vorpx, but vorpx does work with VRto3D. The VR community seems to prefer RealVR though. https://github.com/oneup03/VRto3D/wiki/VorpX

  2. sigh, guess it's the future of 3d gaming, 3d vision is basically out, stays in the past. I still have my unupated windows 7 3d surround setup, with 1080ti, playing constantly games from the golden age of 3d vision gaming.

    1. I haven't tried Windows 7, but VRto3D may work for you on games that will run on driver 452.06. VRto3D 3DVision support is limited to DX11 3DVision mode. I couldn't get cyberpunk to run on the old driver. Some of the other games I recently posted do work on this old driver.

    2. thanks though I meant that this VRto3D thing doesn't support 3d vision monitors, which are what I use for 3D gaming. I do have a Windows 11 setup for VR gaming.

    3. VRto3D does support 3DVision monitors, but it's limited to Nvidia driver 452.06 since that was the last one with DX11 3DVision support. Cyberpunk doesn't work on that driver, but many games do.

    4. 3DVision now works well on any driver thanks to wibblewobble. Setup is complicated though

  3. Hello everyone !
i'm noob with this new way for playing games in 3D. I'm a 3D Vision player..
I have a question, do we need to have the games with steam to have it to work? because of SteamVR ?
For exemple i got Red Dead 2 with the rockstar launcher, does it work with?
    thanks a lot !!

    1. The game does not have to be a steam game to work with SteamVR.

If that game runs on driver 452.06, you can play it using these instructions: https://github.com/oneup03/VRto3D/wiki/Legacy-RealVR-Mods#western-simulator-2
Camera control isn't perfect, but it should be playable

  4. I do feel the depth is quite a lot for fps walking with a gun. I set the depth for normal use from 0.5 to 0.2 and depth for trigger from .02 I think to 0.01. Obviously this is taste and i normally prefer a lot of depth. But those are alternative settings for others

    1. Yes, depending on your 3D display and preferences, you may need to adjust the Cyberpunk2077.exe_config.json profile for this game. The profile currently sets 0.1 as the default depth and 0.01 as the aiming depth. You can check out the adjustment hotkeys and user preset and profile creation instructions in VRto3D readme for details on modifying profiles.

    2. Thanks I swore I imported your profile, but anyway works great regardless

    3. Since you were trying it before I got the blog post up, there's a chance there was an old profile with incorrect settings haha

  5. I do not think that this option is currently convenient and possible for the vast majority of users. But I'm glad you're working on it..

  6. Much to my surprise and delight I got this running! Awesome stuff. On a 5090 as well, so runs great. My only issue is that I can't seem to change the depth, only the convergence. Setting the depth in both the default config and the game specific config does not change the game depth, but does (somewhat inconsistently) change the depth of HUD elements. The depth is a bit low for me so I was wondering what I am doing wrong, if it can be increased, or if there is a RealVR setting I am missing?

    1. RealVR is a bit weird with the convergence. It seems to inconsistently work and only takes effect of you start/stop VR. I updated the profile and it should hopefully give a little better depth& pop. Depth has to be limited by your fists, as they aren't adjusted separately in 3D.
