I'd like to confirm that it doesn't work for me too, when I launch the game the logo shows up then disappears and when I remove the fix it works normally. I'm using the GOG version as well.
Glad you enjoy the transparency fix, sadly it is a bit problematic with text reading during dialog and button pressing for quick-time events, but still better than nothing ;)
Happy summer my 3D Vision friends! July is almost upon us again, for me anyway it is a time for the Witcher... The first game is very hard to play but i am trying, i have like 10 mods to make it look and play like a 2012 game, but the second game "Assasins of Kings: Enhanced Edition" is a sight to behold! With it's superb ubersampling and fantastic Red Engine it should be perfect, yet when i play it in 3D i get 2D shadows. So i am hoping this fix will do the trick as playing with Polish dubbed sound is distracting enough! :p Eq, is this fix for ALL 3D systems including 3D Vision which is all i use now or just Plasma? Hope u are well. :'D
Eq you know what i just noticed? I cant adjust convergence in this game! Not a huge deal as the game looks pretty good as is, especially now that your fix is in place and i have 3d shadows (thank you!). Is there a way to adjust convergence?
btw, Eq I really wanna "fix" Racedriver Grid by Codemasters. The shadows are rendered wrong depth. What material would i have to learn in order to become a 3D technician like u folks?
While playing W2 Enhanced, if I alt+tab out, the shadows would be messed up. Trying ctrl+t, would not help.
The solution is to use ctrl+ F3/F4 and bump the depth up or down a notch. The shadows then reset properly. I hope this helps anyone else that runs into this issue
Not sure. The artox bucket is no longer on the server. But I found this in a witcher2 directory. Maybe this is the file: https://s3.amazonaws.com/HelixMods/witcher2/shaderoverride.zip
i dowloaded the shadder override and placed it on the bin folder what do i have to do next so the 3dfix manager allows me to launch the game in 3d mode it seem the fix doesnt detects the changes and it reminds me to install the 3d fix before
Thanx for the Plasma Fix...Great for long term play on my TC-P50GT25
ReplyDeleteThere seems to be an issue with the first link. Thanks for the fix Helix!
ReplyDeleteWhoops...fixed.

Nope, still doesn't work.
DeleteDont worry about it Depth hud isnt that amazing. You may not even like it. Its a preference thing.

I took down depth hud besides compatibility issues not too happy with it. It doesnt look well in cinematics. Will leave up plasma fix.

This was just something I practiced with when learning. Don't need it.
DeleteThis is for Witcher 2. There is an actual good fix for witcher 1 enhanced.

Shadows are not something you can pick up in just one game tbh.

ReplyDeleteHow can i redo the shadowoverride with steam version?
