Known Issues:
============
- Main Menu is not fixed.
- All the shaders have the headers stripped.
- The Shadows (and various other effects) render perfect at a convergence lower than 4.0 (pushed to infinity)
- Shadows are disabled if convergence is higher than 4.0. Use F3 to toggle to a convergence values to obtain "toyification".
- Currently there is no way to fix the shadows without having access or knowing what the matrices are.

See image ONE for stereo pushed at infinity (with shadows).
See image TWO for stereo with a good convergence (shadows are disabled).

It is .rar
DeleteYou need 7-zip

DeleteDoes this link work for you? TheTechnomancer.rar on S3
Muchas gracias !!! si me funciono el link que me pasastes
DeleteNo region lock on the webserver. Never heard about it before;)
DeleteWhatever it is is either ISP related of maybe BlueHost is having maintenance on the server hosting my website;)
Working just fine here as well;)
Great fix Hellifax, thank you for your work and generosity to share this!
ReplyDeleteThe lack of shadows does not detract too much from the enjoyment and the game is interesting enough to make it a totally worth playing RPG-light, if you are in a sci-fi rather than medieval/phantasy mood.
Developer Spiders are getting better and better and will surely release a AA masterpiece one of these days (maybe they've done it already, looking forward to trying out Greedfall with Losti's fix).
For 4k TV users, thankfully the game has resolution scaling (called "dynamic resolution"). Set it to minimun (all the way to the left, if I remember correctly) to enjoy smooth gameplay.
thank you for the fix , its a late comment but pls i need that shadow removal part i dont have 3d vision drivers or equipments im on a very low end and i want to play this game badly so i want to tweak it a little bit to cap it at 30 fps so i downloaded your fix and cant get it to work to the shadow removal part so please any advice ?
ReplyDeleteUnlikely to make much difference in performance, shadows don't tend to be that expensive nowadays.
DeleteHowever, you likely do this. Google around and you can learn how to do hunting using 3Dmigoto. You set hunting=1 in the d3dx.ini, and then use numpad keys to find shaders you want to disable. Then add a ShaderOverride in the d3dx.ini with handling=skip.
If you google and study up, that will give you enough info to get this working. Good luck.
Tried this with geo-11 today. The original fix d3dx.ini file does not allow the game to load properly - I hear the music, see the mouse cursor, but I remain on my desktop. If I use the geo-11 default d3dx.ini file then the game loads, but there are a few broken elements like halos.
