Star Wars Jedi Survivor [UEVR + VRto3D]
praydog's awesome UEVR makes it possible to play Star Wars Jedi Survivor in 3D!Notes:
- Optionally support praydog's work on Patreon
- New Auto-Depth plugin for VRto3D included. Swaps between lower depth for cutscenes/workbench and higher depth for gameplay
- Toggle between different depth presets for menus/cutscenes using the XInput Guide Button or Numpad 2 (this can be changed in the VRto3D profile if desired)
- The "JediSurvivor.exe_config.json" can be edited for different hotkeys or depth settings. Reference the VRto3D ReadMe for details
- 3DVision hardware is playable on latest drivers thanks to WibbleWobbleReShade. Check VRto3D ReadMe for instructions
Known Issues
- Binoculars can't zoom
- Auto-Depth may not always trigger properly. You can use XInput Guide button or Numpad 2 to toggle to lower depth manually. (This can result in double lowered depth if you don't toggle back)
- As with many newer Unreal Engine games, it can have performance issues. I'm able to run it relatively well at 1080p 3D on 2080ti. Example YouTube Koboh Benchmark
In-Game Settings:
- DLSS swap for DLSS4 needed - see instructions below
- Windowed Mode 'Windowed'
- VSync Off
- Ray-Tracing must be OFF to avoid crashes
- Nvidia DLSS 3 Upscaler set to somewhere between 'Quality' and 'Performance' for Transformer model
- Motion Blur Off
- Film Grain Off
- Chromatic Aberration Off
- Optimized settings guide on YouTube
UEVR Settings:
- Run UEVR in OpenXR mode for this game
- You can edit the %APPDATA%\UnrealVRMod\JediSurvivor\scripts\JediSurvivor_AD.lua "cinema_scale" and "gameplay_scale" to adjust the Auto-Depth strength
You will need:
- VRto3D V3.1.0 or newer setup for your 3D display here
- Download this UEVR profile
- DO NOT RENAME THIS PROFILE ZIP OR UEVR WILL NOT WORK. THAT INCLUDES IF WINDOWS ADDS (1) ETC
- Follow the general UEVR instructions for installation and launching a game below
The below instructions are also available on GitHub
Just set this up and this is amazing! 3D looks perfect. This is the new must have update for our 3D enjoyment! Playing on my LG TV with 3dtovr. Thank you Praydog for this! I am now going to be learning a lot more UEVR and Praydog and the great work with VRto3D. Looks like UEVR supports a lot of games. WOW!!! THANKYOU!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks to OneUp03 for the VRto3D part!
DeleteNice. I downloaded a performance mod for this a while back and helped me with the FPs however, I cant remember where or the name for it.
ReplyDeleteMost of the performance mods come down to changing CVars. Those should be compatible with UEVR, but you can also directly change those CVars in the UEVR profile's user_script.txt
DeleteMaybe a question i should put on the VRto3D listing, but will put it here since this listing is newer. How do we request to get new profiles for other games within VRto3d? "Returnal" looks like a good candidate for a new VRto3d profile and maybe a new listing on helixmod (would think it would be a copy and paste or similar to what was used for jedi survivor)? Thanks again to OneUp03 and UEVR for giving us 3d support on new/newer games!
ReplyDeleteI might post Returnal, but it's pretty easy to get running if you want to DIY. Just set UEVR to the Native Stereo option and inject; in-game UEVR tweak HUD depth/size. I like to try and test games for a while before posting them to see if there are any issues for 3D users. I'm glad I waited ~6 months for Jedi Survivor, as praydog made significant improvements to UEVR (there was really bad ghosting and shimmering before).
DeleteI have written in-depth guides for creating VRto3D profiles and UEVR profiles (in the ReadMe and Wiki respectively), so others can jump into playing VR mods. There's far too many Unreal Engine games for me to post them all. The only part that's too complex to write a guide for is the auto-depth portion. However, you can create VRto3D user hotkeys per-game to change depth on the fly.
I'm really glad you posted the jedi survivor fix as it was the first game i was interested in that used UEVR. I wasn't expecting it to be as great as it was in 3d (playing through the game again). And now I've discovered so many more games to try in 3d. I'll read up on your links. Thanks for VRto3D and keeping 3d gaming exciting! Hoping we eventually get God of War Ragnarok and the two last of us games in 3d (I know it will probably be different method).
Deletelooks awesome on my lg 4k thanks tons!
