Saint Seiya: Soldiers' Soul
3D Vision fix for Saint Seiya: Soldiers' Soul, with extra graphics options.
Fixed
- Reflections, heatwave effects, special attacks, etc.
Not fixed
- Cosmo on characters (when you can trigger seventh sense and/or do the big bang attack) is at the correct position, but the effect itself looks a bit wrong unless it's at screen depth. I couldn't find a way to fix it.
- One wave distortion effect can't be fixed because it interferes with other stuff, but it doesn't look too wrong at normal convergence levels.
Installation
- Download this file and extract (with 7-zip, for example) its contents in the "SSSS" folder, where "SSSS.exe" is.
- Boot the game.
Hotkeys
- F1: high convergence. Can be overwritten with F7.
- F2: low convergence. Can be overwritten with F7.
- F3: HUD depth presets. Screen depth by default.
- F4: cel shading disabling presets (enabled, disabled, only characters and only environment). Not disabled by default. Sometimes the game will reset this for some unknown reason.
- F5: sun rays toggle. Not disabled by default. Forcing SGSSAA (0x004010C5 antialiasing bits, same as DB Xenoverse. It makes cel shading a lot better) disables this effect anyway, alongside depth of field.
- F6: some bloom toggle, some distant blurriness and also a darkness filter in some big bang attacks. Not disabled by default (SGSSAA disables that blurriness).
- z: HUD toggle. Not disabled by default.
- c: dark layer in some big bang attacks toggle (different shader from the F6 one). Disabled by default (why did devs make this effect?).
Notes
- If you get a black screen after exiting the game (like I do), you need a program called Hotkey Resolution Changer, to switch to another resolution or refresh rate, which will get you out of the black screen.

don't forget to install the "special mod" with the OST from the anime, it's far better ! :)
ReplyDeleteA bit late because I've finished the story (not all challenges) already, but I'll try it.
DeleteInteresting, seems finally someone made a mod to remove that stupid big bang attack dark layer, I've read they did that to prevent "epileptic" attacks or something like... dude, I know I'm not epileptic and devs forcing that crap on my without an option to disable it was enough for me to uninstall the game, might sound like nitpicking but that annoyance ruined my immersion although i really liked that game, guess now I can finally install it again and enjoy it like I wanted, thanks for this.
ReplyDeleteExcuse me but i did actually what discribed in Installation info and none happened in-game. There are any program or something to make this mod run ?
