Ghost of a Tale [DX11]

Thanks to DarkStarSword for developing his Unity 5.6 template

F1 - cycle different values of HUD depth and software mouse depth

  1. Download Tested on and extract the contents into the game directory.
  2. Use Nvidia Inspector to assign the game's EXE to the profile "3D-Hub Player". (For instructions on how to assign profiles, see this guide)
  3. In your Steam library, right click on "Ghost of a Tale" and select "Properties"
  4. Click "Set Launch Options"
  5. In the box, type " -window-mode exclusive" and click "Ok"
  6. If you use not steam version in desktop shortcut's properties in object field add " -window-mode exclusive" after 'GoaT.exe'.
I made this using DarkStarSword's Unity template.

  1. Thank you for all your hard work!

  2. Thank you so much for this fix. I've been dying to see this game finally released as it is an absolute gem. Never been happier to buy an EA game. truly fantastic.

  3. had an eye on this for years, but waiting for retail release. can't wait to try it out then, thanks in advance for your awesome work!

  4. Game released today but unfortunately fix is broken

  5. I tried to get this running. It worked great when I was inside, in the jail. but when I got into the garden, its all dark and grey scale. I even tried loading in a non-3d resolution and same thing. Perhaps something off with the shaders?

  6. Yep fix broken. Too bad, I like this little mouse ^^

  7. Can anyone please please please fix this gem of a game again

  8. The fix seems to be broken once Tilo enters the courtyard section. Everything turns into dark grey

  9. very good work in the inside. thanks. broken outside. dark and grey scale. fix please?

  10. Any Chance for a update?

  11. the fix is still brocken :-(

    I hope for a update!!!

  12. If someone were motivated, they could take the current fix, and figure out how to apply those changes to the current game. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink. Usually the shader hashes change, but the actual shader changes are modest.

If you want to play this game now instead of waiting patiently for it to be fixed, you can also download the older version of the game.

    See: Download older Steam versions.

  13. ah man , i waited to long to play this. Broken now. Doesnt boot
