Company of Heroes 2

3Dmigoto 3D Vision DX11 Fix

Select viewing method: 3D Vision Plugin - Cross-eyed - Distance - Anaglyph

What this mod does:
- Fixes shadows, lights, ground textures, water reflections, fog of war, halos & 2D effects (blizzard, raindrops,.. etc)
- Places the HUD & UI (including mouse cursor) at a fixed depth when playing a mission. (I left the Main Menu at screen depth due to some UI unevenness-- see Additional Notes below).

Installation:
- Download this ZIP file and extract the contents into the game directory.

 Additional Notes:
- Tested this fix with all graphics settings maxed out.
- This fix should work will all DLCs. Though I've yet to test all of the maps.
- HUD depth value can be changed in the d3dx.ini file.
- If you want to push the Main Menu into depth: in the d3dx.ini file, under [ShaderOverrideMainMenu], set the 'z' value to '0'
- This isn't 3D related, but 'HUD Scale' bar in the Options menu is only enabled if the resolution is higher than 1920x1080.

  1. WOOOW... The first COH is one of my RTS favorites of all times, and I bought this one on release, and never finished the first mission, because it was broken in 3D !!!
And now you have fixed it 4everAwake, I'm so gratefull - BIG BIG THANK YOU :)

    1. Hi. In the Options menu, ensure that "Image Quality" is set to "Higher" or "Maximum". I played this game with all graphics settings at their highest. This week, if I get a chance, I'll fix the issues in the lower graphics settings. Also, let me know if you're still having issues.

  8. Such a shame, I can't get the 3d to activate on this, the only difference I see is a black square around the mouse

  9. I can't get the shadows to work. I set the image quality to maximum, is it related to SLI?

  10. Worked on one pc but not on another. Eventually I took the d3d11.dll file from a game (IL-2) that did work in 3D on this problem pc and swapped it for the fix included one. This thankfully solved the problem. The one I used has size 2450KB. Sorry I can't tell you which version of 3DMigoto it came from.

    1. Once again I wanted to play the game on a Windows 7 pc and the fix wouldn't kick in. This time after some messing about I kept the Shaderfixes folder and the d3dx.ini files as they contain the fix. Then I took the other files from the x64 folder in 3Dmigoto-1.3.12 and dropped them into the game folder this got the game working in 3D. Love the game and thank you once again for the fix.

    2. Does this fix work for you guys without dropping the framerate in the low 30s. What about the fact that from mission to mission, the 3D settings need to be adjusted and for some, it's damn near unplayable due to the crosstalk?

    3. Just tested this again, and I had broken shadows even on max settings. I added geo-11 as a test, and it works well this way. Fixed the shadows (probably profile update), and also performance was quite a lot better. In the tutorial I was getting 60 fps and perfect 3D. RTX 2080, driver 452.06, nvidia_dx11.

    4. Hi could you update the page with the new fix? You also did geo-11 fix?

    5. I am very... inexperienced with fixes. Would love to get a copy of whatever new fix you created bo3b. I just relied on 3DFM due to my limited techincal knowledge

    6. This is very easy to do, you can do it.
      1) Grab a fix file from one of masterotaku's latest games to get the latest files.
      2) Copy in the 3 files: d3d11.dll, nvapi64.dll, d3dxdm.ini. That overwrites the ones already there.
      3) Edit the d3dx.ini file and set force_stereo=2 which enables the geo-11 files.
Run the game to see if it is working- you should see SBS output, which is default.
Edit the d3dxdm.ini file and change the direct_mode=nvidia_dx11 if you are running driver 452.06. That makes the output NVidia 3D Vision.
