3dSen

geo-11 fix for both 3dSen PC and 3dSen VR (the VR version running in Desktop Mode), the NES emulator on Steam. I specifically have the VR version, which has everything that the PC version has, plus VR modes.

Fixed
- Specular reflections of the virtual TVs.
- Monoized menu to make it visible at normal convergence levels.
- Autoconvergence configured.

Installation
- geo-11 (with build v0.6.182): download this file and extract its contents in the "3dSenVR" folder (or the equivalent for the PC version), where "3dSenVR.exe" (or the equivalent for the PC version). Remember to edit "d3dxdm.ini" to change your "direct_mode" to the output you need. For 3D Vision monitors, only "nvidia_dx9" works.
"upscaling = 1" is enabled by default in "d3dxdm.ini" to make the mouse cursor visible.
- Run the game.

Hotkeys (optional stuff)
- F1: five convergence presets. Only if autoconvergence is disabled.
- u: anaglyph to geo-11 3D conversion, intended for 2D mode games that may have this mode. Two presets, plus disabled state which is default.
- i: reverse eyes for the anaglyph conversion.
- o: shutter 3D to geo-11 3D conversion, for 2D mode games that may use this. Normal, reversed eyes, and disabled, which is default.

  2. Not working on 3DSEN non VR

  3. I had to run the executable with -window-mode exclusive to trigger 3D Vision when using nvidia_dx9

  4. How did you do it? I can't force it no matter what

  5. I can confirm that this works with a GTX 980 and an SBS 3DTV, without changing any of the values in d3dx.ini nor d3dxdm.ini. For those who cannot get it to work, post what you are trying to do (what output method), and what troubleshooting steps you've taken so far. Without that information, no one will have any idea what you might be doing wrong, and so it is unlikely that anyone will respond. Posts such as "Not working" or "I can't force it" are not enough information for anyone to help you.

    1. It's not working for 3dSen. I only did a single step of copying the 3D fix files into 3dSen's folder containing 3dSen.exe, and then promptly launched the game. Unfortunately, it didn't display the game in SBS mode when it was expected to.

      Other steps I tried:
      - "nvidia_dx9" mode (I also have Nvidia 3D Vision setup)
      - Adding "-window-mode exclusive" launch options
      - Used 3Dmigoto Launcher with the fix in another folder

None of these worked unfortunately. I can still run another game that has geo-11 already setup and it enabled 3D mode for that game, but 3dSen seems to have disregard the .dll files altogether.

    2. I found the cause: the supplied fix for 3dSen is using the wrong geo-11 build. 3dSen is a 32-bit app, and will need the 32-bit geo-11 files.

After copying over the 32-bit "d3d11.dll" and "d3dcompiler_47.dll" files over to 3dSen folder, it successfully enabled 3D on launch.

I don't know if this is the same case for 3dSen VR, as I do not own that version. If the VR version is 64-bit, the uploaded fix may need to include two versions of geo-11.

    3. I just confirmed in Task Manager that 3dSenVR.exe is indeed a 64-bit executable.
