Luke Ross updated his RealVR mod to support VRto3D for 3D displays.
Update 2025-07-29:
- Updated profile to use full-framerate AER, which should result in much smoother gameplay without artifacts if your PC can push 120fps
- Changed FoV and corresponding Depth&Convergence to better match the original game setting
- Updated DLSSS Instructions - no more ghosting!
Notes:
- Camera now has native controls, so you can play with a gamepad
- RealVR uses Alternate Eye Rendering, so it is essential to maintain a consistent framerate to avoid eye-flips or other artifacts, so adjust your in-game settings accordingly
- Only 1:1 aspect ratio is available in 2D game window, so there will be wasted rendering, but you will always get 16:9 aspect ratio in 3D headset window
- 3DVision hardware is playable on latest drivers thanks to WibbleWobble. Check VRto3D ReadMe for instructions
- 2080ti hardware struggles to maintain 120fps - may need to use 1/2 rate
You will need:
After getting these, you can follow the instructions below, or on GitHub
If the wrong game is showing below, refresh the page and you should see Elden Ring.
This is my first try with RealVR and with VRto3D.
ReplyDeleteSo..., if I only have ONE monitor and using Nvidia 3D Vision glasses (RTX 2080) with driver 452.06 and Windows 10, I can not run RealVR, and therefore I can not use this fix?
In case I want to try this fix, is it necessary to enable 3D and use the driver mod (I guess so)? This game does not open when I enable 3D in Control Panel (with or without this fix).
Right, the game will crash if you boot it with 3D enabled, so you have to do this annoying dance that you can see outlined in the VRto3D instructions or video guide. Enable 3D with the DX11 global hack, launch SteamVR, disable 3D, launch game and wait for it to load -should see it in SteamVR headset window, move 2d game window to second monitor, enable 3D and global hack, make headset window Fullscreen on 3DVision monitor by clicking inside it and 3D should enable, move mouse to 2nd monitor and click 2d game window for controls to work.
DeleteYou need a 2nd screen because you need the SteamVR headset window Fullscreen on 3DVision monitor and at the same time the 2D game window active for controls to work. You could setup a 2nd virtual monitor and use your phone via Sunshine+moonlight. https://www.reddit.com/r/cloudygamer/comments/185agmk/guide_how_to_setup_hdr_with_moonlightsunshine/
DeleteThanks for the info. I think I will wait until there is an easier way to enjoy a 3D game.
DeleteYou might want to look into getting a better display then - 3DVision is dead. I recommend AR glasses (Rokid, Viture, Xreal) on the cheaper side. Or if you have the cash, the new Acer glassless displays.

DeleteThe setup process is a bit better with wibblewobble now on 3DVision. You can run everything single monitor and on any GPU driver.
DeleteAmazing thank you for doing this.
ReplyDeleteWow thanks !
ReplyDeleteIf the game is rendered in 1:1 resolution by Luke Ross mode anyway, can we choose to have all of that displayed instead of just 16:9? I'm using a Quest 3 with VD if it matters. Do we just edit VRto3D ini file for 1:1 resolution?
ReplyDeleteYou can try editing the VRto3D default_config.json aspect_ratio setting. You might have to create your own game profiles though.
