DARQ

geo-11 fix for DARQ, and also tested the DLCs. This uses the previous fix by neovad as the base and fixes all remaining effects.

Fixed (compared to the previous fix)
  • Volumetric lighting.
  • Temporal effect related to volumetric lighting.
  • Screen space reflections.
  • HUD at convergence dependant depth, to be comfortable during gameplay.

Known issues (from geo-11 itself, apparently)
  • geo-11 doesn't like graphics quality option changes in real time. Do that before installing the fix (I recommend FANTASTIC because there's little performance difference between settings), or by renaming "d3d11.dll" to something else, editing settings ingame, and then exiting and renaming the file to the original name again.
  • At least for me, the game crashes at 3840x2160 in non Nvidia modes (like sbs or tab).
  • alt+tab is risky in Nvidia modes. Try to avoid it.

Installation
  • Download this file (contains geo-11 build v0.6.58) and extract its contents in the "DARQ" folder, where "DARQ.exe" is. Remember to edit "d3dxdm.ini" to change your "direct_mode" to the output you need. It's sbs by default. For 3D Vision monitors, use fullscreen ingame and "direct_mode = nvidia_dx9" or "direct_mode = nvidia_dx11" in "d3dxdm.ini", alongside the "-window-mode exclusive" launch command.
  • Run the game.
  • If you use "direct_mode = nvidia_dx9", don't use the ingame vsync option because it will cap at low fps. Disable it and force it through the drivers instead.

Hotkeys
  • F1: convergence presets (2, 3, 4). 3 by default.
  • F2: FXAA plus some blurriness toggle. Disabled by default.
  • F3: vignette plus dirt screen effect toggle. Disabled by default.
  • F4: depth of field toggle. Disabled by default.

  1. Thanks. Hope to see geo-11 fix for Dark Pictures Anthology all parts. It's playable but with everything has black duplicate object most of the time, and convergence doesn't fix itself even when set automatically

  2. Very nice, thanks for this update. This game has a unique and compelling art style I like, and now I can do the DLC with this much better fix.
