Killer Instinct






geo-11 fix for Killer Instinct. Tested with the late 2023 update.


Update (2024-04-17): refixed the game, which changed many shaders and introduced FSR, which I fixed and is safe to use. It doesn't break autoconvergence in this game.


Fixed
- Motion blur.
- Shadow moves.
- The freezing move from Glacius.
- Vignette effect during shadow moves.
- Stereoized specular reflections.
- Monoized all HUD elements to make it consistent for character selection and reading text.
- Autoconvergence configured, to make intros and outros comfortable.
- FSR.


Known issues
- Some stages show lighting clipping in the distance. I wasn't able to fix this.


Installation
geo-11 (with build v0.6.182): download this file and extract its contents in the "Killer Instinct" folder, where "KILLERINSTINCTX64_R.EXE" is. Remember to edit "d3dxdm.ini" to change your "direct_mode" to the output you need. For 3D Vision monitors, "nvidia_dx9" works fine.
- Run the game.


Hotkeys
F1: convergence presets (0.5, 2.5). 2.5 by default. This key only works if you disable "dm_autoconvergence" in "d3dxdm.ini".

  2. wow, this even works on a crack version of "killer instinct (2013)", can't wait to play on my meta quest 2 with "bigscreen beta". geo-11 rules!!! and hopefully it support more games and all direct x that could render 3d polygons and support all the opengl and vulkan api.
