Shadowrun Hong Kong Extended Edition [DX11]

Tested on version 3.1.2

Use <TAB> key to change 10 values of HUD depth

Use <F11> to toggle between 3Dvision, side-by-side and top-bottom

Installation:

  1. Download this ZIP file and extract the contents into the game directory.
  2. In your Steam library, right click on "Shadowrun Hong Kong" and select "Properties"
  3. Click "Set Launch Options"
  4. In the box, type " -force-d3d11" and click "Ok"
  5. If you use not steam version in desktop shortcut's properties in object field add ' -force-d3d11' after 'SRHK.exe'.
P.S. It's better to play on maximal zoom level for more valuable 3D effect

  2. I don't know. If DarkStarSword will update his template to fix Unity 5.5 (Uses 17 version of *.assets and parser for 15 version is not acceptable - I've tested yet) I'll try to fix new games such Osiris New Down and others.

  3. For some reason, the game crashes on me when running at 4K. However, running at anything lower seems to work fine. Remarkably, this game seems to support 3D at non-native resolutions through 3D Vision rendering. That hasn't worked for me before on my EDID-hacked LG 4K OLED. Usually, I have to use TAB or SBS mode to run at lower resolutions (which wouldn't be great in this game since those modes make using the mouse impossible). Anyhow, thanks for the fix! It's greatly appreciated!

  4. This fix still works as of June 2018, so a big thanks to the shaderhacker for his work.
One question, is there a way to repurpose this fix to work on the older Shadowrun games? I tried, but simply dropping the files didn’t work.

    1. Won't work. If I'm not mistaken, the older games are DX9, and this one is DX11. Completely different modding tools.

Should be possible to fix those older games however, as they are easier to fix in general.

    3. Just in case anyone is interested, I got Shadowrun Returns and Shadowrun Dragonfall both to work in 3D in DX9. I simply changed their profile to "3D HUB Player", and installed the "[DX9]BIND CUSTOM CONVERGENCE/DEPTH PRESET[CYCLE] TO A KEY OF CHOOSING" file to each game root directory. Then proceeded to adjust 2 convergence settings, one for default and another for dialogs.
Both games look 3D Vision Ready, environments looks like detailed 3d cut outs with depth, a very charming effect with the 3D characters.

    4. First, how did you change the profile for Dragonfall? Is it under 3DMigoto set up?
Second, where do you get the "[DX9]BIND CUSTOM CONVERGENCE/DEPTH PRESET[CYCLE] TO A KEY OF CHOOSING" file?
Third, where do you go to adjust the convergence setting?

    5. To change profiles, you use Nvidia Profile Inspector. It's a special tool that you can download, or you can use the one built into 3DFixManager. Look for the launch button in the Settings.
I don't know about the DX9 Bind Custom part- but Jose is using DX9 version, not the downloaded DX11 version. You might have to google around to find it? Doesn't ring a bell for me.

  5. As of March 2026, fix doesn't work any more. It crashes back to desktop after Ioading the green 3DV text on the bottom right screen.

    1. I can't test this game, but other Unity 5.5 games I've tried have been working OK.
This fix requires the DX11 path, so you can only use driver 452.06 as the latest version. Could also possibly run with geo-11 on newer drivers.
If you are using a good driver, try doing a DDU reinstall. It should work.

    2. Look like 1080P resolution still works. Anything else like 4k or ultrawide will crash it. This 3DMigoto fix desperately needs a Geo-11 update. Which begs the question: PCGamingWiki listed this game as DirectX 9.0c but you said that this fix requires a DX11 path?!?!?

Side note: at the attempt to play in 4K, I tried the dgVoodoo--> Geo-11 --> 3DGamebridge guide below (used for Valkyria Chronicles DX9.0c ) but it worked all the way to the SbS step for Geo-11 but crashed at the 3DGamebridge step.

    3. Based on Jose's comment above, the game will can run in both DX9 or DX11. This fix is set up to run with DX11 and you pass the -force-d3d11 parameter at launch. If you don't, you'll get DX9 version.

dgVoodoo is interesting but unnecessary here, and will break the DX11 fix. To try geo-11, you would install the DX11 fix, and replace the DLLs with ones from a geo-11 build. You want to keep the d3dx.ini and ShaderFixes.
