Ghost of Tsushima [RealVR + VRto3D/WWVR]

Luke Ross updated his RealVR mod to support VRto3D for 3D displays.

Update 2025-08-01:

  • Updated profile to use full-framerate AER, which should result in much smoother gameplay without artifacts if your PC can push 120fps
  • Changed FoV and corresponding Depth&Convergence to better match the original game setting
  • Updated DLSSS Instructions - no more ghosting!
Notes:

  • Optionally support Luke Ross on Patreon
  • Camera now has native controls, so you can play with a gamepad
  • RealVR uses Alternate Eye Rendering, so it is essential to maintain a consistent framerate to avoid eye-flips or other artifacts, so adjust your in-game settings accordingly
  • 2080ti hardware struggles to maintain 120fps and may need to use 1/2 rate instead

You will need:

  • Either: VRto3D setup for your 3D display here
  • Or: WibbleWobbleVR for your 3DVision display here
  • RealVR from the bottom of this post
After getting these, you can follow the instructions below, or on GitHub.
If the wrong game is showing below, refresh the page and you should see Ghost of Tsushima.

  1. Just bought the game - and had no idea it is 3D compatible...unless I am reading this wrong ?

Can it be played on a 3D Vision (Nvidia 3D monitor + Nvidia 3D glasses) for regular 3D ?

OR does it mean it can be played on a 3D Vision monitor - but only in V.R. mode (i.e. for those who own a V.R. headset) ?

  2. I don't believe it works with 3D vision 3D as that needs an older driver with 20xx cards or older. However, it does work on VR and or 3DTVs that handle 3d modes for SBS or Over/Under (two views, one for each eye).

    1. Many thanks for the immediate response - and sorry I should have mentioned I have a RTX 2070

    2. If I'm understanding it correctly, you can run this on 3D Vision hardware using a program called WibbleWobble. That has support for 3D Vision output, and is built on Reshade and works with VRto3D used here. That also means not needing the older driver, so compatible with later GPUs and drivers.
Look through the documentation on VRto3D on GitHub to see the options.

    3. Yes, you should be able to get this game working on 3DVision hardware using VRto3D+wibblewobblereshade or WibblewobbleVR. The VRto3D readme covers the reshade variant.

    4. Confirmed to work perfectly, as all other VR mods, with 3D Vision via WibbleWobbleVR or WibbleWobble ReShade + vrto3d

  3. Hello there :)
Am I right to assume this only works on RTX 2000 series? Or does it work on 3000/4000/5000 series as well? :)
I am curious as atm my 3D Vision monitors are gathering dust... :(

    1. It should work well on any Nvidia rtx GPU (DLSS is required to fix ghosting). If you want to use your 3DVision monitors, you can get them running with VRto3D + WibblewobbleReShade, even in surround if you have multiple monitors. There are frame sequential instructions on the VRto3D readme.
