Banjo Kazooie Recompiled + Jiggies of Time + Nostalgia 64

 


This is a native 3D implementation in the Banjo Recompiled project.

You can now play this classic game + two great mods in 3D!

3D Modes Supported

  • SbS (and Full)
  • TaB
  • Row Interlaced
  • Column Interlaced
  • Checkerboard
  • Anaglyph (Dubois)
  • LeiaSR
  • Frame Sequential through SbS + ShaderGlass + WibbleWobble

3D Features

  • Adjustable Depth & Convergence
  • Adjustable HUD Depth
  • Auto convergence for cutscenes/menus/first person with adjustable percentage

Instructions

  • Download the latest release
  • Extract it to a folder
  • Dump your copy of Banjo Kazooie US v1.0 (SHA1 1fe1632098865f639e22c11b9a81ee8f29c75d7a)
  • Place it in the same folder
  • (Optional) Download Jiggies of Time and Nostalgia 64 and place them in the same folder
  • Run BanjoRecompiled.exe
  • Select 3D mode from Settings menu and configure Graphics settings - pay attention to the required settings in BLUE text
  • DISABLE MSAA!!!

  1. So good! Kind of dizzying, but it can’t be helped with the wonky camera.

    Hopefully this is the first of many recomp 3D enhancements.

    It seems mods like HD textures don’t work, is that right?

    1. Used the HD texture mod and it works absolutely fine.

      The recomp also has alternate camera controls as well as original framerate option (30 fps) to reduce the dizziness.

  2. Just when I think this community can't get any more awesome or resourceful they pull off legendary bird and bear feats like this.

    Building 3D functionality into the decomp is absolutely amazing 🤩

    I've literally been grinning ear to ear since I booted it up.

    Also it runs flawlessly on the ROG Ally with Xreal One glasses in full SBS mode. And it also works undocked with just battery power at 25 watts without breaking a sweat.
